Interesting overall Armature: Arm Sketches Armature: Hand Added contours to my wire hand, unlike in my drawing Armature: Additions Relates to the curves of the tile A wave-like shape Use of multiple line weights (thinner wire wrapped around on the edges of the thicker wire) to show dimension Experimenting with New Material: Paper Experimentation Techniques Cutting out the outline of the new arm armature Drawing the shape of the addition to the arm armature (over and over again repetitively) Implementing wire through the paper in a way that illuminates the shape of the addition to the arm armature Crumpling up paper on the outside of the arm armature to get the implant of it. Final Choice of Material: Papier- mch Why: to emphasize the smoothness of the tile; which the additions to the wire armature did not seem to emphasize enough Why inside: to really emphasize the difference between rough and smoothto make a clear division between the two both literally and metaphorically speaking. Final Armature What I Learned Sometimes when you think of the opposite of what the tile emphasizes helps you think clearer in terms of what the tile actually emphasizes Materials, especially ones that are malleable can be used to express certain feelings or convey certain emotions
