Kawaii – Facial Expressions
This week we are going to be looking at the different Kawaii facial expressions your characters can have.
Each expression is pretty simple and often only has just 2 eyes and a mouth.
Have a look at some expressions below and try and think of what emotion emotion they would
represent. Are they happy? Confused? Surprised?
Follow the steps on the next page and see if you can create your own Kawaii faces. See how many
expressions you can use.

Music – Week 6 We have done lots of learning about tempo and dynamics, well done everyone!
Lets see if we can connect these new words to some of our feelings when we have listened to songs.
1. Read over the words we have learnt in the table below.
2. Think about a time that a song made you feel happy, relaxed, angry or sad. Which words from the table above would describe that song? Choose one tempo word and one dynamics word.
3. Choose one tempo and one dynamics word for each of the four feelings below. Match the words with the faces and post a photo on Class Dojo or return your work to Mr Tooth.
Excited Relaxed Angry Frightened
TEMPO (fast or slow) DYNAMICS (loud or soft) ALLEGRO – Fast
FORTE – Loud
MODERATO – Medium speed
MEZZOFORTE – Medium/loud
LARGO – Slow
MEZZOPIANO – Medium/soft
PIANO – Soft
