1 Main Page

Main page consist of 6 clickable buttons which linking to other page/ form. Each page will be appears by single clicking on the button. Buttons: Report List : List of related record Specification : Parameters/ specification details Data and Monitoring : Data entry page SPC : Statistical Process Control page IGP Quality Analysis : Display IGP Quality Analysis report Data Source File : Database data source management

1.1 Basic navigation

Clicking on any button will open specific page or form or report respectively

Pressing tab will change active button or tab or field from one to another

Pressing enter on ASCII keyboard act as clicking the mouse to open specific page or form or report respectively

Click on will close the page or form or report

Records are automatically saved when the active form is closed

2 Report List

Click on Report List button at the Main Page to add or edit record number and title. Fields: Report No : must be unique where same

number can’t be added in the list. Report Title : title of the report.

3 Add or edit monitoring parameters/ specification

Click on Specification button at the Main Page will open Parameter Specification form. This form consist of Control Point information and tabs for Specification, Drawing and related Report.

3.1 Add or edit Control Point information Fields: Control Point : must be unique where same number can’t be added in the list. Can be

referred as QC Inspection No. in the Control Plan Reference : related control point reference number in Control Plan e.g. QT-5201. Parameter : characteristic to be monitored. Can be referred as Inspection & Test

Characteristics in Control Plan. Data can be entered or selected from the drop down list.

3.2 Add or edit common parameter list Click on the Common Parameter List button at Parameter Specification form.

This list is optional. Only useful when there are repeating parameters in different processes. The objective is to use drop down list instead of typing or copy and paste the parameter.

3.3 Add or edit specification

Fields: Unit : parameter measurement unit.

Select from drop down list Specification : parameter specification - : minus tolerance + : plus tolerance One-sided spec : select : No for specification with both

plus and minus tolerance, Max for specification with minus

tolerance only, or Min for specification with plus

tolerance only.

3.4 Add or edit standard unit list

List of Units came from Unit List form which can be viewed by clicking on the Unit List button at Parameter Specification form. Fields: Unit : Unit shortform Description : Unit description

3.5 Input drawing or images

This field is for drawing or images. Step by step inserting drawing

1. Right click on the field 2. Choose Insert object 3. Select Bitmap Image 4. Click Edit from menu 5. Select Paste From 6. Browse for the drawing/

photo/ image 7. Select the drawing/ image and

click Open

3.6 Relating parameters with reports

Field: Report No : select from drop down list in which report this parameter will be dispalyed Report Seq : arrangement of the parameter in the report Item Title : additional information for report e.g. Sample Flow Item Contents : additional information for report e.g. 1.0 1/min

4 Data and Monitoring

Click on Data and Monitoring button at the Main Page will open Data and Monitoring page. This page displays latest data for each parameter and link to data recording form. Buttons: Set : click to rearrange the point orders Point : click to add new point Refresh : click to update the page after changes made

(Point info button) : double click to view information of the point New Record : click to open data entry form for related point List : click to view data for related point Show All Insufficient Data : click to view list of imcomplete entry of data

4.1 Setting the point sequence

Click on Set button at Data and Monitoring page to open the list. Change the sequence number accordingly. * Initially, this list is empty. The

point information have to be entered first in “Add New Point” form as following Point button explaination.

4.2 New Point information

Click at Point button at Data and Monitoring page to add new point.

Fields: Point : select from drop down list Description : type in the description Sequence : type in the sequence number. This

number is refer to Set number for display on Data and Monitoring page.

4.3 Updating displayed data Click Refresh button at Data and Monitoring page to update all data displayed on this page. Optionally, can use “F5” button on ASCII keyboard.

4.4 Viewing information of each Point

Double click on each button to display the information of the selected Point.

4.5 Adding new record

Click on New Record button to open Data Entry form.

Required input fields: Data : record the mesurement here Remarks : write some important note if

necessary Auto input fields (changeable): Inspector : select from drop-down list

for name of person carried out the measurement

Crew : select from drop-down list for name of person handle the process

Time : inspection time Date : inspection date

Other fields (not changeable): Point : same as selected point at Data and Monitoring page Parameter : point’s parameter retrieved from Specification database Specification : point’s specification retrieved from Specification database Min : minimum standard limit Max : maximum standard limit Judgment : OK or NG base on input data against min and max standard limit SplRef : data sequence number in the main database

4.5.1 Show drawing from Data Entry form

Click on Show Drawing button at Data Entry form to open the related drawing or images for viewing

4.5.2 Add or edit inspector list Click on Inspector button at Data Entry form open list of inspector for adding or editing

4.5.3 Add or edit crew list Click on Crew button at Data Entry form open list of crew for adding or editing

4.6 Viewing list of records for each point Click on List button from Data and Monitoring page to open Monitoring Records list.

4.7 Viewing records for editing Click on View List button on Monitoring Records list to open the Edit Record form. Details of this form is similar with New Record form (refer to 4.5).

4.8 Deleting record

Click on record selector and press “Delete” key on the ASCII keyboard.

Form is emptied after record deleted.

4.9 Viewing list of insufficient data Insufficient data can cause error in calculating the Statistical Process Control parameters. These data must be completed or deleted if necessary. To do this, click on Show All Insufficient Data button at Data and Monitoring page.

All insufficient data will be displayed in this list. Click on View button to open the Edit Record form (refer 4.7 and 4.8).

5 Statistical Process Control

Click on SPC button at the Main Page. SPC Switchboard page will be displayed. This page consists of chart option setting on the left and SPC pre-determined value for each parameter.

5.1 SPC chart option setting Fields: Start Date : enter required beginning date or choose from list Start Time : enter required beginning time or choose from list End Date : enter required ending date or choose from list End Time : enter required ending time or choose from list Item : enter parameter point or choose from list Show Standard Limits : select () if want to display standard limits (USL and LSL) in

the chart Use Pre-determined Limit : select () if want to use pre-determined control limits (UCL

and LCL) in the chart. The pre-determined control limit must be determined first and record in the Pre-determined section (refer to 5.4)

Include NG : select () if want to include out of specification data Subgroup Size : select () 1 X-MR if the subgroup size is 1 or if subgroup greater than 1

select the appropriate subgroup size at lower side Chart : for sub-group size more than 1, select either Xbar-R or Xbar-s from the

drop-down list

5.2 Individual moving range chart Individual moving range chart is for data with subgroup size equals to 1.

5.2.1 Refresh data After setting the chart option (refer to 5.1), click Refresh button right at below the 1 X-MR checkbox.

5.2.2 Display and select data for confirmation

Click Show Data button to display the list Initially all data are selected. To deselect, click on Select checkbox align with the data that need to be excluded. If data need to be edited, click Show button to open Edit Record form (refer 4.7 and 4.8). Take note that whenever data is changed, the record must be refreshed as 5.2.1.

5.2.3 Display the control chart Click on the chart button to display the control chart.

5.3 Average and range or average and standard deviation control chart 5.3.1 Refresh data After setting the chart option (refer to 5.1), click Refresh button right at below the 1 X-MR checkbox. 5.3.2 Display and select data for confirmation

Click Show Data button to display the list Initially all data are selected. To deselect, click on Select checkbox align with the data that need to be excluded. Note that if one data is deselected, all data in the same subgroup number must be deselected. If data need to be edited, click Show button to open Edit Record form (refer 4.7 and 4.8). Take note that whenever data is changed, the record must be refreshed as 5.3.1.

5.3.3 Display the control chart Click on the chart button to display the control chart.

5.4 Pre-determined control limit (UCL and LCL) After the process is stable, control limit must be determined. Base on stable control chart, record the UCL and LCL for the parameter in the Pre-determined section of SPC Switchboard. Example. Below chart shown the process is stable.

Copy the LCL and UCL for both charts (individual and moving range) into respective fields in the Pre-determined fields below.

Once the control limit is defined, the subsequence data must be monitored using this pre-determined control limit until there are sign of special cause(s).

6 Preview IGP Quality Analysis Report

Click on IGP Quality Analysis button at the Main Page.

Enter date of the required report. Click OK. The report will be displayed as below.
