analysis, helping to enable the rapid identification and resolution of IT

infrastructure inefficiency.Previously Stephen has led Dell's overall services and enterprise systems

business in EMEA. Stephen also has 17 years experience at IBM where,most recently, he was Vice President, Communications Sector

responsible for the entire Telco, Media and Utilities Industry portfolio.During his IBM career, Stephen held a number of Global, EMEA and UKsenior management roles with experience spanning software and

Abdulla Al Awar, Chief Executive Officer, Dubai

International Financial Centre AuthorityAbdulla Al Awar was appointed as the Chief

Executive Officer of Dubai International Financial

Centre (DIFC) Authority in June, 2009. As CEO ofthe DIFC Authority, Abdulla oversees the

management of the body of the DIFC chargedwith developing overall strategy and providingdirection and supervision to the Centre.

Prior to this he was the Managing Director of theDIFC Authority, where he was responsible for attracting financial

institutions to operate in the DIFC as well as the creation of an idealplatform for non-financial & professional service providers that support

the constant development of the financial sector.

Before that, Abdulla held the position of Executive Director AncillaryService Providers (ASPs) and Non-DFSA Regulated Organizations in

Business Development Department, where he focussed on the

development of critical mass of professional service providers thatwould assist the various financial institutions and provide them with theideal platform of advisory support services needed to develop thefinancial service sector.

Before joining DIFC, Abdulla worked as an Account Manager in Dubai

Internet City, after which, he was promoted to Regional Sales Managerfor Dubai Internet City and Knowledge Village. Abdulla has a diverse

background, having been involved with a wide range of knowledgeinstitutions in the Financial, ICT, Media, and Education sectors. He holds

a Bachelors of Science Degree in Business Administration majoring in

Information Systems from the University of Colorado at Boulder, USA. Heis also a member of HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Program for

Leadership Development since 2005.

Khalifa Al Shamsi is currently the Vice President of

Marketing, at Etisalat-UAE. Responsible for driving

Consumer Marketing activities in the UAE, Mr. Al

Shamsi has been a key architect of various

consumer centric initiatives at Etisalat that aim to

provide maximum convenience, coverage and

value to the customer. Leading from the forefront, Mr. Al Shamsi is also

responsible for developing the holistic corporate strategy to address

Mr. Al Shamsi joined Etisalat (U.A.E) in 1993 as a GSM Mobile Network

Engineer. He then moved to oversee the planning and development of

Etisalat Mobile network & Services layers. In the last 16 years, Mr. Al

Shamsi has been assigned many diverse responsibilities and has

contributed significantly to develop the Etisalat brand in the Middle

Abdulla Ali Al Madani, CEO Corporate TechnicalSupport Services, Roads & Transport Authority

Al Madani started his career in the InformationTechnology industry in 1990 at Dubai Municipality(DM), from where he progressed through a variety

of roles, including the Head of PC unit then the

Operations & Network Services Section. His coreareas of responsibility included IT infrastructure

planning and enhancement; management,performance review and support of more than 150 services to over

3000 internal users and over 2000 external users, with an annual budget

exceeding 20 million dirham, and a team of over 40 IT professionalsdivided into 3 units; RFP's development and bids evaluation; and

managing projects both directly and indirectly related to area ofresponsibility.He then pursued his career at Roads & Transport Authority (RTA), Dubai,

U.A.E, being selected as Director of Information TechnologyDepartment. Progressively within few months, in May 2006 he was

appointed as Chief Executive Officer for Corporate Support ServicesSector that is one of two headquarters sectors, providing services to all

of the 6 RTA agencies and headquarters. He is a member of the Board,

and directly reporting to the Chief Executive Officer & Chairman of the

Board, Matter Al Tayer. Abdulla's role was to executively direct andlead nine departments' directors with 34 managers and more than 500employees; including Information Technology, Human Resources &

Development, Administration, Unified Automated Fare Collection,Customer Services Centers, Marketing & Corporate Communication,Buildings & Facilities, Finance and Contracts & Purchasing. In addition,

Legal Department was (for a period) reporting into the same sector,under Abdulla's executive leadership. Those nine departments are

directly responsible for the achievement of 40% of RTA's Strategic

Goals, 50% of RTA's DGEP methodologies, and more than 70 projects.

Recently; in June 2009, Abdulla's was given another responsibility asChief Executive Officer for Corporate Technical Support Services

Sector, which focuses more into the technical departments includingInformation Technology, Unified Automated Fare Collection, Buildings

& Facilities, Assets Management and Procurements.Al Madani holds a Bachelor of Management Information Systems fromthe University of Colorado, Denver, USA, and was selected by the

Arabian Computer Magazine as one of the Top Ten IT Manager in theregion for 2005. He was also selected and successfully completed the

Mohammed Bin Rashid Programme for Leadership Development (First

Dr. Hazem Abdulazim, CEO, ITIDA, Egypt

Dr. Abdelazim was appointed as the CEO of theInformation Technology Industry Development

Agency (ITIDA) in 2007 after serving as the Ministersenior advisor for the Technology Development

Sector since May 2007. Born in 1960, Dr. Abdelazimgraduated in Systems Engineering from Cairo

University in 1982, with highest honors. He completedhis MSc in Applied Mathematics in 1985, and then

attained his PhD in Applied Pattern Recognition and ArtificialIntelligence in 1989, both also from Cairo University. In 2003, Dr

Abdelazim completed his MBA from the Maastricht School ofManagement in The Netherlands with distinction.

Dr. Abdelazims professional experience is a blend of Industry and

Academia. He is currently an Associate Professor of InformationTechnology at the Faculty of Computer and Information Science, Cairo

University. Within the world of academia, he has become renowned for

his teaching and research in the fields of pattern recognition, artificialintelligence, Arabic NLP, and applications of Soft Computing in

Financial Trading of Securities. He also holds a Professional Certificatefor Technical Analysis of Stock Markets.

In his earlier role as an Assistant Scientist, and Associate Scientist, for theIBM Research Center, Dr Abdelazim began research work during the

period between 1986 -1992 in Arabic Natural Language Processing,

where he is considered one of the pioneers in Arabic OpticalCharacter Recognition technology and jointly filed a US Patent with

IBM. He was awarded an Invention Achievement Award from IBM in

1991 given in recognition of his significant contribution to society.Between 1995 and 1996, Dr. Abdelazim headed a team of scientistsand researchers in Sakhr Software, a leading research anddevelopment company in the Middle East. He was a Chief Scientist for

Optical Character Recognition (OCR) Development. From 1996 to1997, he acted as Senior Project Coordinator for Internet Development

leading the company into the Internet business. He was then

appointed the position of Executive Director, which he held until 2000.His work involved supervising all research and development activities

and heading the company to new business fronts.

In 2001, Dr. Abdelazim was the entrepreneur and cofounder ofIMAGiNET Software (now CIT MOBiDIV), one of the Worlds Top Players

in Arabic Technologies on Microsoft Windows Mobile Devices. He has

been recognised for his achievements by being awarded the FirstScientific Innovation Prize for Arab Scientists (1993), Presidents [Egypt]

Excellence and encouragement Award (1992 and 1995), and Studentof the Year Award and Directors Cup (2003) from the Maastricht

School of Management. He is also continually contributing to technical

journals and presenting papers at international conferences, such as

the International Journal of Financial Management, in the field ofArtificial Intelligence and Soft Computing.



Wael Amin, President , ITWorx

Since he cofounded ITWorx in 1994, Wael Aminhas been responsible for steering the company

through its remarkable growth and transformationinto a regional software powerhouse. Even before

graduating top of his undergraduate class fromthe American University in Cairo, Wael's

entrepreneurial drive was in high gear as hecofounded software firm MicroLabs.

They say experience is the best teacher, and by the time he

cofounded ITWorx, Wael was a seasoned veteran, having worked inthe development trenches of both Microlabs and Pie Practical

Solutions. More than a software engineer, Wael was now a leader who

Sanjay Uppal, Group Chief Financial Officer at

Emirates NBDEmirates NBD is the financial services group formed

with the merger of two of the largest banks in theMiddle East, Emirates Bank & National Bank of Dubai,

in October 2007. Emirates NBD is the largest Banking

Group by assets in the Middle East with total assets inexcess of US$ 75 bn. Sanjay is also a Director on the

Board of NBD Investment Bank based at the Dubai International

Financial Centre. Sanjay is an international banker with over 16 years ofbanking experience spanning markets across Asia and the Middle East.He joined Emirates Bank in 2005 as Group Chief Financial Officer andhas since transformed the financial organisation and implemented

international best practices to achieve a world class financialgovernance framework. Following the merger of Emirates Bank & NBD

in October 2007, Sanjay was appointed as the Group Chief FinancialOfficer for the merged Bank, Emirates NBD.

From 1994 to 2005 Sanjay Uppal worked with Standard Chartered Bankin India, Indonesia, Singapore, Taiwan, the Philippines and the UAE

Taiwan, Philippines & the UAE and Group Head of Strategy & Finance

Pradeep Hardikar, AVP Consulting, Banking andFinancial Services, Cognizant Business Consulting

Pradeep Hardikar has over 28 years experience inthe software development and consulting area with

an emphasis on banking and financial servicesindustry specialising in the operations of the securities

market in both European and US regions. Pradeepjoined Cognizant in 2004 and is currently responsible

for the Cognizant Business Consulting (BFS) group comprised of about

550 business analysts. At Cognizant, Pradeep has spearheaded anumber of major projects within the Investment Banking and Brokerage

Andrew Douglas, VP, Small and Medium Business

Unit, Symantec EMEAAndrew was recently appointed the Vice President

of Symantecs newly formed Small and Medium

Business unit for EMEA. Douglas has served in anumber of senior roles since joining Symantec in2002, and was most recently vice president ofSymantecs Emerging Markets region, where he

was responsible for developing Symantecsbusiness strategy for one of the fastest-growing

regions worldwide, incorporating South Africa, Africa, Pakistan, Russia,

the Middle East, Israel, Turkey and Greece.

Douglas appointment coincided with a restructuring of Symantecssales organisation to reflect the renewed focus on the small and

medium business sector. Douglas will head up a substantial team ofdedicated SMB resources across EMEA, who have been tasked with

one major priority: enhancing the Symantec partner experience.Prior to being appointed Vice President for Emerging Markets, Douglas

was the VP for Specialist Sales, a very key area for developing salesgrowth for strategic and acquired technologies. He was also the VP forthe Northern Region just prior to the merger with Veritas.

Before joining Symantec as enterprise sales director in August 2002,Douglas spent 18 years in a range of commercial roles in the IT industry,

including InfoProducts and solutions provider Basilica Computing. Hisprevious experience includes managerial positions in the channel,

where he has built service businesses from scratch and led the

consolidation of six European acquisitions into one operating company

worth $200m.



Luca Simonelli, Regional VP - Italy, Greece, Turkey,Middle East & Eastern Europe, Fortinet

Luca Simonelli is responsible for developing Fortinetsbusiness in more than 30 countries in the EMEA region,

including the Middle East. He opened Fortinets Italiansubsidiary and brought the company to a leadership

position in Italy in just three years. Before joiningFortinet, Simonelli was Regional Director at

Attachmate. Simonelli is 44 years old and has over 15 years of provenexperience in IT sales.



Rashed Majed Al Abbar, Director-EMC, Etisalat

Mr. Rashed Majed Alabbar is heading the Etisalat E-Commerce Unit as the Director E-Commerce at the

Etisalat Central Marketing. The portfolio includesEtisalats eCommerce, Mobile Commerce, and E-

Commerce Security services. Currently, hes also

setting and implementing the strategies for Etisalatsgroup wide E-Commerce & Mobile Commerce

services. Hes also involved in introducing innovation

to various marketing initiatives in Etisalat.His past professional experience is in development, sales and marketingof eCommerce, eSecurity, eHosting and Managed Services for the UAEand the GCC region. Mr. Alabbar has over 15 years of experience in

Information Technology. His experiences include assessing andestablishing partnerships and alliances for enriching products,

cost of production. Rashed is a Certified Information Systems SecurityProfessional (CISSP), and has obtained his undergrad education from

the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, California, and a

bachelors degree in Computer Science with Software Developmentemphasis.

telecommunications, manufacturing, banking, retail

and public sectors. Associated with TECOMInvestments since September 2008, Zeineldin was earlier the Executive

Director Business Development. He continues to be a member of the

Management Committee, Investment Committee and Board Memberin a number of investment ventures. Prior to joining TECOM Investments,

Zeineldin was the Regional Director at Microsoft Gulf managing

Ahmed Shaaban, Country Manager- UAE, ITWorx:In his current role, Ahmed Shaaban is responsible

for developing and executing ITWorxs growthstrategy in the country, keeping in line with the

overall business objectives.He leads ITWorxs operations in the Emirates

including existing engagements, sales andbusiness development.

Ahmed started his career at Raya Holding Company, during whichtime he travelled across the region and worked in Egypt, Qatar, Kuwait,

Bahrain and Saudi Arabia. After eight successful years at Raya Holding

Company, Ahmed was promoted to Raya Software OperationsManager. His main responsibility was to achieve increased customer

satisfaction and higher efficiency which would ultimately lead to an

increase in revenue and profit growth achievement. Ahmed alsoworked at IBM in Egypt as Service Delivery Manager for the Egyptian

Governmental Program. He graduated from the Civil AviationAcademy with a Bachelor degree in Aircraft Engineering. He later

earned an IT diploma from the Information Training Institute andMiddlesex University.



Ali El-Zein, the Executive Director for Operations atInjazat Data Systems, is a seasoned projectmanagement veteran with extensive experience in

leadership and client relations. He currentlymanages over 500 staff to deliver industry-leading

Information Technology Outsourcing, Applications,

Business Process Outsourcing, Program ManagementOffice and Data Centre Services to more than 30

clients. Mr. El-Zein is responsible for improving

Khaireldin was employed with IBM. He held a variety

of management positions at IBM Egypt, ultimately becoming CountryBranch Manager. He was then relocated to Europe where he spent

five years in IBMs European headquarters in France and Italy, holdingthe position of Manager of Operations and Strategy for the Middle East

and Africa. In 2000 Amin returned to Egypt and for four years was theManaging Director and CEO of two high-tech Egyptian companies:

Triangle Group & NOL.

Later, he managed the First Capacity Building Program, an initiativelaunched by the Ministry of Communications and Information

Technology and financed by the Industry Modernisation Centre, with
