The Bishops’ School PTA Newsletter – March 2017: Special Edition
Welcome to the Special Edition of the PTA Newsletter. In this edition I wanted to promote some of the easy and effective ways we can all help to raise funds for the PTA.
The PTA hopes this year that the outside classroom will go up and if possible it will be up for the 30 years of Bishops’ celebration on the 17th June. This addition is just one of the examples of how your attendance at our events directly benefits our children. I have included a picture below of the classroom so thank you for your efforts over the past few years to achieve this!
After this in place our focus will become to complete the adventure playground with some additions for the younger children. This last phase of the playground will see the addition of equipment such those shown below:
Please take time to read through the fundraising options and new initiatives to ensure that we can carry on our support to the school.

SPECIAL EDITION
The Bishops’ School PTA Newsletter – March 2017: Special Edition
The PTA have run a 100 club for a number of years but the membership has
dwindled so we are launching our own lottery scheme. The draws take place
weekly and it is run by an external company so it doesn’t sit with a PTA member
to facilitate. We hope this becomes really popular and hope that one of our
members wins the big £25,000 prize!

Event and Date Information
March 24th – Easter Fayre
Join us after school to hunt the Easter bunnies, play games and raise money for the school.
April 1st – First lottery draw
We will have our first winner on Saturday 1st April!
April 21st – FAB Friday returns
Ice creams will go on sale after school from this Friday onwards until the end of the October half term.
April 25th – PTA meeting
The quarterly meeting will take place at school at 19.15. Join us to discuss events passed and plan for events coming up.
June 17th - 30 Years’ of The Bishops’ School Celebration
This event will celebrate the achievements of the school through a day of celebration. More details will be circulated nearer the time.
June 30th – Sports Day School Sports Day will take place today and the PTA will be on hand selling drinks and snacks.
July 21st – Inflatables Afternoon
Finish off the school year in style at the Inflatables Event on the big field over by the Parish Centre. More details to follow nearer July.
