SPECIAL SPAH August 2020 EDITION
www.milehighharmonicaclub.com
SPAH Convention Was Held Virtually this Year
AUGUST 12-15, 2020
I hope you took advantage of this ground- breaking
event. When life gives you lemons, make lemonade,
and the SPAH people made a big pitcher full of sem-
inars and fantastic entertainment. The unique thing
about this event is that we were able to have enter-
tainers and seminar presenters from all over the
world. Unfortunately , we could not be there in per-
son to enjoy renewing friendships and playing to-
gether in the hallways. But maybe you got out your
harmonica and played along with some of the acts
appearing in the evening.
I enjoyed attending the virtual seminars during the
day and Nancy and I had dinner sitting on the sofa
while watching the great entertainment in the evening
(I did. It was fun!).
SPAH President Michael D’Eath was able to get
Youtube to keep the programs on their website but
we don’t know how long the videos will stay on the
site. Just go to youtube.com and type “SPAH” in
the search box.
The following are screen shots of some of the enter-
tainers.
Roger Bale
Steve Baker & the Family Band coming to you from their kitchen in England
Our own Paul Davies
Tony Eyers from Australia used video technology to clone himself into a trio. He was great!
Colorado’s own Nick Clark Antonio Serrano from Spain, has an amazing resumé. He and his accompanist played a fantastic set to close out Saturday evening. You can read about him and all the other entertainers in the latest issue of SPAH’s Harmonica Happenings magazine
Thank you to Michael D’Eath and great SPAH team for creating a great virtual convention. I have a feeling that we will be seeing more of these virtual performances at SPAH conventions in the future.
