The school was created in 2004 by two of the most respected and charismatic surfers in Europe: the brothers Dani and Raul García who have been surfing for over 30 years, traveling the world looking for the best waves, succeeding in competition and simply enjoying the ocean and different cultures.

Throughout these years we have seen and been part of the evolution of surfing in Spain while playing an active role in the history of the sport in Europe.

We have dedicated our lives to surfing and for us it means passion and love of the ocean, fun, work, emotions, friends, travels, landscapes, health and feeling good.

Surfing is highly recommendable for anyone. You don’t have to be a champion to enjoy yourself at Special Surf; you decide how far you want to go.

All of the instructors and students of Special Surf agree that the best place to learn and progress quickly and effectively is in the Surf camp. Special Surf School has been successfully running this surf camp since 2004, and every season we try to better ourselves so as to offer the best experiences to our clients.

We don’t just want to be a good camp; we want to be the best. Our best voucher is the large number of students who return year after year and bring new friends. At Special Surf Camp we are a big family.

Can I attend Special Surf Camp if I’ve never surfed? Most of our students have never surfed. We organize the groups in the camp from absolute beginner to advanced. The minimum requirements for all students are ability to swim and the desire to have a great time with us..

What age is the best?In surfing there is no age limit. As long as the student is ready to have fun, they can come to our camps. Only in July do we limit the ages (13-18 years) as well as the last week of June during our camp for ages 8-13. The rest of the year we are open to all ages. The weekend camps are recommended for adults.

Where do most students come from?Students come from all over the world but principally from the north of Spain, the Mediterranean, and the interior.

Can I bring my own material to the camp?Of course you can. This way you can surf with your usual equipment. We can also tell you if your material is appropriate for your level or if you should use one of our school’s boards. Sometimes students come with a board not adequate for their level/stature and this hinders their progression.

card.• If the student has some medical condition requiring medicine

(asthma, allergies, etc.) do not forget to bring medicine.• Comfortable clothing: We will be doing many activities similar to

surf which require movement. Don’t forget that in the North of Spain it can be necessary to wear a jacket in the mornings and evenings even in the summer. A light raincoat is a good idea.

• Sunscreen: it is obligatory to apply before going to the beach.• Sunglasses, sandals, bikini, bathing suit, beach towels.• Sheets and blankets are not needed- they are supplied by the
