Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God?   1 Cor. 6:19.

Do you not know that you are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in you? If anyone destroys God’s temp;e, God will destroy him. For God’s temple is holy and you are that temple. 1 Cor. 3:16-7

Page 7: Special thanks to:

I appeal to you, therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God to present your bodies as a living sacrifice holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual act of worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but e transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.

What’s better than just defiling things?

• Have the defiling mechanism set on autopilot repetition cycle and reproduce itself

• Have someone else do it for you.

Page 16: Special thanks to:

Tree of Life has seeds in it and has capability for reproducing.

And God said, “ I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food.” Gen 1:29.

And the Lord God planted a garden toward the east, in Eden; and there He placed the man whom He had formed.  And out of the ground the Lord God caused to grow every tree that is pleasing to the sight and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Gen 2:8-9

Page 17: Special thanks to:

Passed down to us The seed of pride of life with

reproducing capabilities. Seed of Desire for independence Seed Desire to be like God. Notices these were things God

originally want to give to us to begin with—confidence in our identity, ability to have individual thought and to be like Him— but are now defiled because of rebellion.

A Judge Needs a system of justice. A set of

law to determine good or evil. Set a fair standard. Has authority to pronounce guilt:

“____, I find you guilty of the charge(s) of _______.”

Has the right to decide what is owed: “I now sentence you to serve the sentence of punishment or pay the restitution of _____.”

Way and authority to enforce the sentence.

Platform to clearly communicate all these points.

Page 20: Special thanks to:

Serpents gets us to play judge Get us to partake

of the Fruit of Good and Evil = gave us our own box of stars and dots so that we have a ‘system of justice”.

Gave us pride to think that we have a fair standard, authority to judge, ability to enforce a sentence.

Our system is not fair and it is relative to each person’s convictions and knowledge.

We do not have authority to judge nor the power to enforce judgment.

Page 21: Special thanks to:

Serpent did not tell us that natural spiritual laws applies to making judgments:

Law of Sowing and Reaping: Galatians 6:7.

Law of Increase: Hosea 8:7. Sow a seed, get a tree, sow wind and get a whirlwind.

Law of Faith: Heb 12:1-2. Physics law that every action there is

an equal but opposite reaction.

Page 22: Special thanks to:

Sow Judgment, Reap Responsibilities of a

Judge. In taking the role of a judge, you are

also reap the role of rendering a punishment or restitution and the means of executing justice. If you pass down a restitution of an

apology from someone, you will need to collect that debt. If you render a punishment of eternal pain for the other person, your soul won’t rest until it’s pay in full.

Unforgiving servant thrown into eternal torment. The torment is re-experiencing the pain, hurt b/c restitution/punishment has not been collected.

Page 23: Special thanks to:

Sow Judgment, Reap defilement

Gets us to defile ourselves through judging. Sow judgment, reap condemnation.

Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way (krima, judgment in KJV) you judge others, you will be judged, and with the same measure you use, it will be measured to you.

Matt 7:1,2

Page 24: Special thanks to:

Judgment Reaps Condemnation

You, therefore, have no excuse, you who pass judgment on someone else, for at whatever point you judge another, you are condemning yourself, because you who pass judgment do the same things. 2 Now we know that God’s judgment (krima) against those who do such things is based on truth. 3 So when you, a mere human being, pass judgment on them and yet do the same things, do you think you will escape God’s judgment (krima)? Romans 2:1-3

Page 25: Special thanks to:

Judgments Reaps Illnesses.

Qin'ah ִקְנָאה (Strong’s H7068) Ardour, zeal, jealousy, ardour of anger, indignation. A sound heart is the life of the flesh: but

Qin'ah the rottenness of the bones. Prov 14:30

Type A personality and depression (anger turned inwards) have both been linked as risks factors for stress illnesses such as stroke, heart disease as much as high blood pressure and high cholesterol are risk factors.

Page 26: Special thanks to:

Sow Judgment, Reap Bitter Roots

Marinating in thoughts of anger, critical judgment of someone due to unforgiveness, repeating offense or a deep wound can result in will result in parorgismos (indignation, wrath, bitterness, resentment): BITTER ROOT JUDGMENTS.

Do not let the sun go down on your parorgismos and do not give the devil a foothold. Eph 4:26-7

Page 27: Special thanks to:

Bitter Root Judgment Opinion formed out of bitterness

about a person’s character and identity. Crosses the line btw examining behavior to judging character.

Condemning them to a label A firm belief that this person will not

change. ____ is always controlling. ____ is a liar. ____ is uncaring. ____ is incapable of showing affection. ____ is evil/bad.

Page 28: Special thanks to:

Bitter Roots Reaps Defilement of one’s own temple.

Accusing God of been unfair, inactive or incapable to change the person. Disassembling altar that honors God.

Setting up idols of Self-righteousness and pride.

Making offerings to the idol of self with pain, negativity, emotional hardness, hopelessness, revenge, etc.

We defile self -- We become what we judged (Romans 2:1)

Page 29: Special thanks to:

Bitterness Reaps a Veil between God and us. Blocks our relationship with God and

blocks Him from hearing us and forgiving us “But your iniquities have separated you

from your God; your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear.” Isaiah 59:2

“If I had cherished sin in my heart, the Lord would not have listened.”

Ps 66:18 “For if you forgive men when they sin

against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.”

Matt 6:14-5

Page 30: Special thanks to:

Bitter Roots Reap: Desecration of other temples of God.

Likely condemning that person as “hopelessly unchangeable”/”forever sinful” even before God. Blocking of God’s intervention and blessings. John 20:23 “If you forgive anyone his sins, they are forgiven; if you do not forgive them, they are not forgiven.”

Proverbs 18:21 “The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit.”

Page 31: Special thanks to:

Reapings of Bitter Root Judgments:

See to it… that no bitter root grows up to cause trouble and defile many. Heb 12:15. Releases rights to the enemy to confirm

that characteristic in that person. Puts a human curse on the person that blocks the blessings of God. Ex:Dad

Releases right to the enemy to put blinders on our eyes so we cannot see change in the person (con’t to misread them in the way we painted them) or cannot see them through God’s eyes.

Page 32: Special thanks to:

Bitter Root Judgments Reaps Bitter Expectancies

A negative belief system that is established in your heart that expects the ‘worst’ in people, self, God and situations.

This negative belief system ‘protects’ one from disappointments in hoping. (Hoping for change hurts b/c people fall short, so it’s better not to hope)

Page 33: Special thanks to:

Bitter Expectancies Reap:

A Self fulfilling prophecy. It operates on the spiritual law of faith. According to your faith, will it be done to you. Matt 9:29For as a man thinks in his heart, so is he. Prov 23:7.

A man thinks, he will act accordingly and in so doing actually brings about what he expects to happen.

Page 34: Special thanks to:

Examples of Bitter Root Expectancies

I never fit in. People always think I’m weird.

There is always someone prettier. People always reject me. I always

get left out. People always use me. No one ever listens to me. No one understands me. No one loves me. Everyone always

leaves me. Guys never ask me out. Something always comes up to eat

my money.

Page 35: Special thanks to:

Bitter Roots Reaps Bitter Laws of Life, False Beliefs

Systems Judgments sets up a hypothesis we have about how life is. Over time and repetition of the same scenarios, it becomes a generalized false ‘law of life’ that we live by. Bitterness at not been promoted turns

into “Only charismatic people get promoted.”

Bitterness at a husband’s unfaithfulness becomes “Men cannot be trusted.” “All men are liar.”

Bitterness at wife becomes “all women are manipulative.”

Bitterness at abandonment = I’m on my own.

In Summary: Bitter judgment is my conclusion

about a person’s(gp of people’s) character.

Bitter expectancy is what I expect to happen in the future

Bitter belief is a generalized conclusion of how the world runs.

Unforgiveness grows into bitterness into hatred, etc.

Page 38: Special thanks to:

a person past or present that I can process now?

God, what bitter root judgments do I have against this person?

God, what bitter expectancies do I have because of this person’s actions?

God, what life laws have I written because of this person?

Page 45: Special thanks to:

Displacement: Taking out frustration, feelings on people or objects that are less threatening. (get mad at wife after a hard day at work).

Sublimation: socially unacceptable impulses or idealizations are consciously transformed into socially acceptable actions of behaviors. (person with anger issues may take up kick boxing as a means of venting frustrations.)

Page 46: Special thanks to:

Reaction Formation: Converting unwanted or dangerous thought, feelings or impulses into their opposites. (I really don’t like this person so I go out of my way to be nice to him or her.)

Projection: taking our own unacceptable qualities or feelings and ascribing them to other people. (You strongly dislike someone but believes that it’s he or she that doesn’t like you.)

Page 47: Special thanks to:

The more ‘mature’ defense mechanism while they are healthier still does not allow us to be honest about the root of our issue and our own feelings and anger.

Page 48: Special thanks to:

“Protective” Inner Vows Decisions/Deep conviction of

needing to do something usually to protect oneself from future harm or to exert control over our lives.

Usually made subconsciously when we are still children. Ex: I’m never cry. I’m never be like mom or dad. I’ll never be left out again. I’ll never marry. I’ll never kids (like

that). I will never forgive myself or you.

Page 49: Special thanks to:

No one is going to tell me what to do I will never trust a man(woman) again. I’ll never be vulnerable enough to get

hurt. (I’ll never let anyone get close to me.)

I’ll never to that again. I’ll never speak in public or sound

stupid. I’ll never trust God again. I’ll never discipline like my parents. I’ll be invisible so no one can blame me.

I’ll never make a mistake again. I’ll never be a disappointment. I’ll always be there for you. I’ll always

love you.

Page 50: Special thanks to:

Whatever I command you, you shall be careful to do; you shall not add to nor take away from it. Deut 12:32.

'Do not break your oath, but keep the oaths you have made to the Lord. But I tell you, do not swear at all: either by heaven, for it is God's throne; or by the earth, for it is his footstool; or by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the Great King. And do not swear by your head, for you cannot make even one hair white or black. Simply let your 'Yes' be 'Yes,' and your 'No,' 'No'; anything beyond this comes from the evil one.” Matthew 5:33-37

Page 51: Special thanks to:

Spiritual Effects of Inner Vows

Because the vows are of the evil one, when we make the vows, we are giving the enemy the right to help us ‘keep’ it. But it gives him knowledge of what to use to trigger us so we can break it.

Vows are binding to our will so that it is not free to act differently.

When we do break the vow, the enemy prompts us to condemn ourselves or the enemy condemns us which causes us to resolve to keep that vow with more strength and effort.

Win, Win situation for the enemy.

Page 52: Special thanks to:

Some of the vows seem like good things. Ex: Father is abusive so the child vows to “never be like dad.” However, it is out of a self righteous judgment and rely on one’s own ability to accomplish something instead of allow God to guide and direct the path and behaviors. It may actually cause the person to be an overly lenient parent who cannot discipline his/her own child. Or grow up to be unable to confront people when needed.

Page 53: Special thanks to:

The vows can be interpreted by the flesh in a different way then intended and used indiscriminately. (Like Dracula, who comes into the house b/c he was invited, he doesn’t care how it’s phrased just that it is phrased.)

Ex: I vowed to not let anyone know who I like b/c of relentless teasing in 6th grade about a guy I didn’t even like. During all of high school and college I could not carry conversations with the person of interest even though I wanted to talk to them.

Page 54: Special thanks to:

Practical Signs of Inner Vows Repeating scenarios and storyline in

your life. Inability to break a habit. (I’ll never

overeat.) Unexplainable guilt or guilt that is

out of proportion for an action. (Extreme uneasiness for been a few minutes late may be related to a vow of “I never want to be late.”)

Self hatred for a certain behavior. (“Why do I always forget things?” maybe related to a kid who used to cope by vowing to never remember the hurtful things.) (demo of inner fighting)

Page 55: Special thanks to:

Practical Signs of Inner Vows

Extreme hatred and intolerance of certain behaviors in others can be a sign a vow of intolerance has been made against oneself.

Page 56: Special thanks to:

“I’ll never trust again” is an inner vow “God is not trustworthy” is a bitter judgment. “God will not come through” is a bitter expectancy. “God is too busy to worry about

whether I trust Him or not” is a bitter belief.

Page 57: Special thanks to:

Exercise Connect with God and then ask Him: What defense mechanisms have I

employed to protect myself in regards to the bitter judgment that you just showed me?

God what inner vows have I made in regards to the bitter judgment that you just showed me?

If I give them up what will you give me in exchange?

Page 58: Special thanks to:

Be not overwhelmed There is nothing concealed that will

not be disclosed or hidden that will not be made know. Matt 10:26

But “Wait till the Lord comes, He will bring to light what is hidden in darkness and will expose the motives of men’s hearts.” 1 Cor 4:5.

Let God help you untangle the mess.

Desecration of the Temple

The Offender is the sacrificeWe do not have clean hands and feet as we have defiled the temple of God and others’ temple

Page 62: Special thanks to:

All humanity is a joint temple  So then you are no longer strangers

and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, 20 built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the cornerstone, 21 in whom the whole structure, being joined together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord. 22 In him you also are being built together into a dwelling place for God by the Spirit. Eph 2:19-22

Unforgiveness breaks unity of the temple.

Page 63: Special thanks to:

Bitter judgments block eyes from seeing the

self and other person’s destiny and kingdom worth and calling.

Bitter expectancies and false belief systems

block the experience of God’s provision, God’s

intervention and blessings to self and

others.

Page 64: Special thanks to:

Bitterness corrupts prayer and it is no

longer a sweet smelling incense unto God: Inner

vows, selfish ambitions, self

directed intercession, soul-ish prayers

(according to my will and binds the free will of the other

person to choose, “make them repent”),

“ordering God”

Page 65: Special thanks to:

Veil is experience as it it’s not torn and the Ark (God) is hidden. There is grace as God will

always reach out but there is a separation

that is tangible to the bitter person

where they have a hard time

experiencing and enjoying the love of

God.

Ex: Elder son of the prodigal story.

Page 66: Special thanks to:

Forgiveness is cleansing and reestablishing

your own Temple and the collective

Temple of God

Page 67: Special thanks to:

Forgiveness is: Aphiemi = to send away, leave alone,

abandon, let alone, leave. To grant pardon for or remission of

an offense, offender, sin, etc; to absolve (to set free from an obligation, guilt, debt, penalty); to acquit; to cancel a debt; to cease resentment against.

Page 68: Special thanks to:

obligatory sacrifices, pleasing aroma, burnt entirely to God.

2. Meal (gift) offering—memorial causing remembrance of inquity. Salt added as a reminder of the enduring nature of the covenant bond btw the Lord and his people. God vowed that He would be responsible if the covenant is broken.

Page 69: Special thanks to:

Page 70: Special thanks to:

The Brazen Altar Blood of Christ. Sacrifices of forgiveness

is a sacrifice of burnt offering.1. Sacrificing the pain and cost of the

pain. (count the cost of keeping the pain and keeping the temple defiled.)

2. Sacrificing the role of a judge

Page 71: Special thanks to:

A Judge Needs a system of justice. A set of

law to determine good or evil. Set a fair standard. Has authority to pronounce guilt:

“____, I find you guilty of the charge(s) of _______.”

Has the right to decide what is owed: “I now sentence you to serve the sentence of punishment or pay the restitution of _____.”

Way and authority to enforce the sentence.

Platform to clearly communicate all these points.

Page 72: Special thanks to:

Forgiveness = Humility, stunting the growth of the

seed of pride. Admitting that our set of law to determine

good or evil is limited. Limited knowledge (prone to assumptions), understanding and wisdom.

Admitting we have limited ability to be fair.

Though we have authority to pronounce guilt for offenses done to us, we can chose to delegate the role of a judge.

Sacrificing our right to and decide what is owed as we have limited sentencing options.

Admitting that we have limited ability to enforce the sentence.

Page 73: Special thanks to:

Give back to Jesus’ His Role as Judge

The Father judges no one, but has given all judgment to the Son, that all may honor the Son, just as they honor the Father. John 5:22.

"For the LORD is our judge; the LORD is our lawgiver; the LORD is our king; he will save us."

Isaiah 33:22

Page 74: Special thanks to:

We can plead our case to the Judge.

Come now, let us reason together, says the Lord. Isaiah 1:18

If any of you lack wisdom, he should ask God who give generously to all without finding fault. James 1:5

Page 75: Special thanks to:

God’s Restorative Purpose And when he had looked round

about on them with anger, being grieved for the hardness of their hearts, he saith unto the man, Stretch forth thine hand. And he stretched it out: and his hand was restored whole as the other. Mark 3:5

And they were bringing unto him little children, that he should touch them: and the disciples rebuked them. But when Jesus saw it, he was moved with indignation, and said unto them, “Suffer the little children to come unto me; forbid them not: for to such belongeth the kingdom of God.” Mark 10:13-4

Page 77: Special thanks to:

God’s Restorative purpose And the Passover of the Jews was at

hand, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem. And he found in the temple those that sold oxen and sheep and doves, and the changers of money sitting: and he made a scourge of cords, and cast all out of the temple, both the sheep and the oxen; and he poured out the changers' money, and overthrew their tables; and to them that sold the doves he said, Take these things hence; make not my Father's house a house of merchandise. His disciples remembered that it was written, Zeal for thy house shall eat me up. John2:13-7

Page 78: Special thanks to:

Myth/Lie God is a wuss (weak or ineffectual)

when it comes to judging and been fair. He is “always” merciful and let’s people off the hook.

Fear that they are going to get away with it.

Bible says: Because the LORD disciplines those he loves, as a father the son he delights in. Prov 3:12.

Bitter Root Judgment

Page 79: Special thanks to:

Never take your own revenge, beloved, but leave room for the wrath of God, for it is written, "VENGEANCE IS MINE, I WILL REPAY," says the Lord.

Romans 12:19

It is mine to avenge; I will repay. In due time their foot will slip; their day of disaster is near and their doom rushes upon them.” The LORD will vindicate his people and relent concerning his servants when he sees their strength is gone and no one is left, slave or free.

Deut 32:35-6

Page 80: Special thanks to:

"This is evidence of the righteous judgment of God, that you may be considered worthy of the kingdom of God, for which you are also suffering-- since indeed God considers it just to repay with affliction those who afflict you, and to grant relief to you who are afflicted as well as to us, when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with his mighty angels in flaming fire, inflicting vengeance on those who do not know God and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus. They will suffer the

punishment of eternal destruction, away from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of his might, when he comes on that day to be glorified in his saints, and to be marveled at among all who have believed, because our testimony to you was believed."

2 Thessalonians 1:5-10

"For the Son of Man is going to come with his angels in the glory of his Father, and then he will repay each person according to what he has done." Matthew 16:27

Page 82: Special thanks to:

Forgiveness = Mercy Letting go of Your Right to and decide

what is owed: sentencing, and letting God decided when, how and what. Releasing them to God’s discipline.

Releasing yourself from policing and enforcing the sentence.

Forgiveness DOES NOT mean letting go of the Platform to communicate and inform the other person of what hurts, what’s not acceptable, and what the boundaries are.

Jesus prays for unity in John 17:11, 13-15. Holy Father, protect them by the power of your name, the name you gave me, so that they may be one as we are one…My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, 21 that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. 22 I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one— 23 I in them and you in me—so that they may be brought to complete unity.

Power behind our prayers: (the 7th seal)

Another angel, who had a golden censer, came and stood at the altar. He was given much incense to offer, with the prayers of all God’s people, on the golden altar in front of the throne. 4 The smoke of the incense, together with the prayers of God’s people, went up before God from the angel’s hand. 5 Then the angel took the censer, filled it with fire from the altar, and hurled it on the earth; and there came peals of thunder, rumblings, flashes of lightning and an earthquake. Do Not Defile the Altar There is a difference of what we

deem to be righteous and holy and God’s definition.

will cause the other person grief and effectuate a change.

The other person made me angry. Forgiveness is a feeling. I only have to do it once. Forgiveness is a free pass for the person

to do it again b/c I’m saying, “it’s okay.” If they sin against God’s laws, God agrees

with me, I don’t have to forgive. All False.

Myths about Forgiveness As long as I forgive in my heart, I

don’t need to say it. If God agrees with me and it’s

righteous anger, I am justified and don’t need to forgive.

As long as I forgive in my heart, I don’t need to say it.

Conditional forgiveness is healthy, setting up boundaries and helps the person to change. (if I don’t get angry, they won’t change.)

Myths about Forgiveness If God agrees with me and it’s

righteous anger, I am justified and don’t need to forgive. Same measure of judgment and

condemnation will be on us. It is commanded. Blocks God from

hearing and forgiving us. Playing the role of God. Puts us in a place where bitterness

will breed.

Myths about Forgiveness I have to stop hurting before I

forgive. I don’t ruminated about it. I don’t hurt anymore and I am not angry anymore so I have forgiven. As time passes, the energy of the

‘stress’ response and zeal of anger subsides (so long as it’s not triggered).

But there may be repressed pain that will awaken when triggered. There be a hypersensitive spot of bitter root judgments, bitter expectancies, inner vows, laws of life that are set up b/c of the wound.

Myths about Forgiveness Forgiveness is a one time thing.

“If your brother sins, rebuke him, and if he repents, forgive him. If he sins against you seven times in a day, and seven times comes back to you and says, ‘I repent,’ forgive him.”

Luke 17:3,4 Forgiveness has many components

and is a journey.

Myths about Forgiveness Conditional forgiveness is healthy,

setting up boundaries and helps the person to change. “If anyone has caused grief, ... The

punishment inflicted on him by the majority is sufficient for him. Now instead, you ought to forgive and comfort him, so that he will not be overwhelmed by excessive sorrow. I urge you, therefore, to reaffirm your love for him...If you forgive anyone, I also forgive him. And what I have forgiven--I have forgiven in the sight of Christ for your sake, in order that Satan might not outwit us. For we are not unaware of his schemes.”
