Šidiškis Short course description: This is the main performing art (specialization – winds and percussion) program discipline, which is designed for the development of the professional skills of a wind or percussion player. The aim of the course is to develop skills, knowledge and abilities, that make-up the basis of the preparation of a performer-soloist. The content of the studies consists of instrument playing skill development, artistic skill development and formation of a repertoire of various styles. This is the second level of a course that takes up eight semesters, during which pieces of Baroque era and other periods are studied. Course content: Scales, major and minor up to 5 key signs in various rhythmic values, articulation, various rhythmic figures.). 10 different etudes. Three different character pieces. One part of a large-scale piece. Example of pieces for every instrument: Flute: E. Koehler. Etudes op.33, Nr. 3; Gabriel Fauré. Fantasy; W. A. Mozart.
