Flexible-Format Programs Robinson offers several specialized master’s degrees that are flexible in format and open to full and part-time students. These include the Master of Science degree iin several majors as well as other specialized degrees. Most specialized programs are open to both full- and part-time students with late-afternoon and evening courses.

Executive Master of Science in Managing Information Technology

OverviewThe Executive MS-MIT is a one-year cohort program that can be completed while maintaining full-time employment. The students are paired with mentors from IT fields. The program is taught by the faculty of the Department of Computer Information Systems – ranked #8 in the nation by U.S. News & World Report (2014). Note: This program enrolls in the fall semester only.

CurriculumThis program comprises 36 credit hours (ten courses at three credits each) and a field study course (six credits):

Schedule & LocationThe cohort meets every other Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at Georgia State University’s Alpharetta Center. Students will complete electronic distance learning modules between the group sessions.

Cost $39,500* includes textbooks, course materials, iPad, meals at class meetings, and mentoring program. $250 Deposit due upon enrollment.

OverviewThe Master of International Business (MIB) is a one-year cohort program designed to provide graduates with in-depth knowledge of international business practices. Candidates will be selected based on their ability to handle demanding coursework and contribute meaningfully to the cohort. Several English for Business seminars will be available throughout the program. If participants require intensive English language training prior to beginning the MIB, they may enroll in GSU’s well-recognized TESL program for an additional cost. The program equips students with practical skills for doing business in hospitality segments around the world, and the functional skills to manage the global workplace. Fast-Track Master of Professional Accountancy

OverviewThe Fast-Track MPA is a one-year cohort program. This is an intense expedited Accounting program to educate traditionally non-accounting majors in the areas of accounting principles, financial reporting, and more. Students are instructed through an accelerated path to the profession of Accountancy. Our graduates are not only equipped with a broader knowledge of Accountancy, but also are eligible to sit for the CPA/CMA exams through the upper-level 30 credit hours provided. Note: This program enrolls in both the fall and spring semester.

CurriculumThe rigorous 30-hour curriculum comprises ten courses:

Schedule & LocationThe cohort meets every Tuesday evening from 5:30 to 9:45 p.m. and every other Thursday evening from 5:30 to 9:45 p.m. Also, eight Thursday sessions are held over the course of the year; four in the fall and four in the spring. Master of Taxation

OverviewThe Master of Taxation program is one of the largest in the nation and is the only MTX degree in Georgia. It is also the second largest accredited MTX program in the United States. Students may select either the one-year or two-year cohort. All MTX classes count towards CPA minimum hours for examination. Note: This program enrolls in both the fall and spring semester.

CurriculumThe rigorous 30-hour curriculum comprises ten courses:

Schedule & LocationThe classes are scheduled one night a week at either 4:30 p.m. or 7:15 p.m. Classes are taught at Georgia State University’s Buckhead Center.

OverviewThe MS in Wealth Management is a 16-month program that emphasizes the individual student’s specific goals and objectives with regard to advancement in the financial advisory profession. A shifting of risk from government and business to families and individuals, changing regulations, and the explosion of new financial products and services, create an enormous opportunity in the field of wealth management. This program covers the three main domains of wealth management: technical, process, and client behaviors. Note: This program enrolls in the spring semester only.

CurriculumThe MS in Wealth Management program comprises eleven courses (33 credit hours):

The Alpharetta CenterThe Alpharetta Center is a state-of-the-art facility designed to meet the needs of an increasingly mobile and technologically savvy student community of working professionals. The Alpharetta Center offers the nationally ranked part-time Flex MBA (core curriculum), the Professional MBA (full degree), and the Executive Master of Science in Information Systems (MS-MIT) degree.

The Buckhead CenterRobinson’s Buckhead Center is located in the heart of Atlanta’s bustling financial district. This technologically advanced facility includes several break rooms, video teleconferencing system, and a collaborative learning laboratory. Programs offered at this facility include the Fast-Track MPA, Master of Taxation, Master of International Business, Master of Science in Wealth Management, Fast-Track MS in Finance, Fast-Track Master of Global Hospitality Management, Fast-Track MSIS, Professional MBA, Executive MBA, Global Partners MBA and Executive Doctorate Program.

The Downtown CampusGeorgia State University is located in the heart of Atlanta, an international city where people from all walks of life and every corner of the globe come to study, work and play. At Georgia State, Atlanta weaves in and out of the educational experience. Admissions

Admission to Robinson’s specialized master’s programs is highly competitive. We seek motivated candidates with a demonstrated track record of academic achievement. Applicants must hold a four-year undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university. Acceptance is by rolling admission for most programs.

Applicants to all programs must submit the following:

> Application > Resume> GMAT/GRE scores > post-secondary education transcripts> Essays> $50 application fee

GMAT/GRE. Applicants to all programs must submit GMAT or GRE scores. Georgia State University offers a GMAT and GRE test preparation courses. Visit robinson.gsu.edu/testprep for details.

Work Experience. A minimum of four years of professional experience is required for admission to the Executive MS-Managing Information Technology program. All other specialized master’s programs do not require work experience.

Interviews. Applicants who are strong candidates for the Executive MS-Managing Information Technology, Fast-Track MPA, Fast-Track MS in Finance, Fast-Track Master of Global Hospitality Mangagement, Fast-Track MS in Information Systems, Fast-Track MS in Marketing, Master of International Business, MS in Wealth Management, and Master of Taxation programs may be interviewed by a member of the admissions committee. Applicants to flexible-format specialized master’s programs are not interviewed.

Letter of Recommendation. A letter of recommendation is optional for applicants to flexible-format specialized master’s programs and required for all fast-track master’s programs.

Financial Aid. Need and merit-based financial aid is available for U.S. citizens and permanent residents enrolled in Robinson’s specialized master’s programs.

International StudentsApplicants whose native language is other than English must demonstrate English-language proficiency by taking either the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or the International English Language Testing System (IELTS).

Those who completed all or part of their education abroad must submit foreign course credentials for independent evaluation to Josef Silny (jsilny.com), Educational Credential Evaluators (ece.org) or World Education Service (wes.org).

Financial aid is not available to international students. Applicants must document their ability to meet the financial requirements.

International students must carry a full course load during the fall and spring semesters.

Flexible-Format Programs Robinson offers several specialized master’s degrees that are flexible in format and open to full and part-time students. These include the Master of Science degree iin several majors as well as other specialized degrees. Most specialized programs are open to both full- and part-time students with late-afternoon and evening courses.

At present, the college offers six specialized master’s as one-year programs with plans to introduce more. All one-year programs are presented in a cohort format.
