Overton Mold is a subsidiary of Overton Industries, a family-owned and operated company with an excellent reputation in the tool, die and carbide industry. The tool and die portion of the company was founded in 1968 by Ruby Overton and is still owned and operated by his three sons.

Overton Mold was incorporated in 1992 to design, build, and repair quality injection and compression mold tooling. Our busi-ness is growing rapidly due to our commitment to our customerʼs needs and our dedication to providing them with products that meet their quality requirements.

We are a highly diversified company, with experience in many areas. We design and build a variety of molds for our current customers—molds for safety products, agriculture products, entertainment cabinets, and interior and exterior automotive parts. CAD/CAM technology is utilized throughout the entire design and build process. All areas of machining contain CNC equipment. Our CNC jig grinders, surface grinders, lathes, and machining centers, as well as our conventional and wire EDM machines assure accuracy and repeatability on every job we do.

Our mold makers are among the best in their industry. As part of Overton Moldʼs employment require-ments, all of our mold makers are required to have at least ten years of mold making experience or must enter and complete the mold making apprenticeship program. We pride ourselves on the level of experience and training our mold makers possess. We feel that the combination of the latest equipment and the skill of our mold makers will guarantee customer satisfaction.

Quality is assured in-process and at final inspection with CMM.

qualityOverton Mold’s quality assur-ance department is equipped with a DCC CMM capable of digi-tizing and reverse engineering to develop part geometry when prints are incomplete or not available. The quality depart-ment also utilizes calibrated gauging and equipment to ensure we meet blueprint specifications.

Overton Mold can provide our customers with inspection fixtures to check molded parts throughout the production process. We can supply cooling and assembly fixtures as well.

Our facility was designed specifically for building and repairing injection and com-pression mold tooling. We are capable of machining and trucking molds up to 40,000 pounds, but still retain the ability to build smaller molds.

repairRepair and engineering change work are a large part of the service Overton Mold provides for our customers. We are avail-able to repair tooling for you 24 hours a day, and we provide pick-up and delivery as an extension of that service.

Our Faro Arm portable CMM allows us to take information from your existing mold and make the appropriate repairs or changes. We also have the ability to take information from your mold on-site and begin the process before your mold even leaves your facility. This allows you to continue to use the mold while we do the engineering.
