NONIONIC SURFACTANTSNonionic Surfactants carry a neutral charge and generally compatible with all other surfactant families. Generally nonionics are used as emulsifiers, detergents, wetting agents, dispersants, foam boosters, viscosifiers and foam control additives. ACC has a broad range of nonionics available which are listed in sub segments below.

ALCOHOL ETHOXYLATESGenerally ethylene oxide attached to a hydrophobe. This segment is used primarily as emulsifiers, detergents and wetting agents. Important characteristics to look for are HLB (emulsification) and cloud point (detergency).

ESTERS & ETHOXYLATED ESTERSEsters and Ethoxylated Esters are generally known to be workhouse emulsifiers for a variety of industries including personal care, metalworking fluids, cleaners and emulsion polymerization. Most often used with a complimentary coemulsifier.

AMPHOTERIC SURFACTANTSAmphoteric Surfactants possess both anionic and cationic charges depending on environment. In alkaline systems they act as anionic and in acidic systems they act as cationic. They are compatible with all other surfactants and generally impart good foam properties, hydrotroping properties, detergency, viscosity building and wetting.

BETAINESBetaines tend to be mild surfactants that aid in foam boosting, detergency and also work as viscosity builders.

CATIONICS SURFACTANTSCationic surfactants carry a positive charge in all systems. There are a wide variety of cationics that are designed for specific applications such as emulsification, corrosion inhibition, anti static properties, detergency, wetting, fabric softening and many other functions.
