Vodní hospodářství
• Obecně: Hospodaření jakéhokoliv systému s vodou
• Technicky: Cílené využití hydrického režimu krajiny pro uspokojení potřeb lidské společnosti
• Cíl: Zajistit dostatečné množství vody v dostatečné kvalitě pro zajištění veškeré potřeby lidské společnosti
• Voda: Pitná, užitková (zemědělství, průmysl, odpady)

Suché tropy - oblasti kolem obratníků • Jsou vymezeny oblastí s minimálními srážkami a vysokými
• Nedostatek srážek spolu s vysokým výparem podmiňují v oblasti obratníků vznik pouští a polopouští
Střední Asie Karakum (Turkmenistán) 270 000 km2
Střední východ Arabská poušť 1 300 000 km2
Dálný východ Gobi (Čína, Mongolsko) 1 040 000 km2
Indický subkontinent Thár (Indie, Pákistán) 260 000 km2
Austrálie, Nový Zéland, Nová Guinea Australská poušť 1 550 000 km2
Severní Afrika Sahara 8 400 000 km2
Jižní Afrika Kalahari (Botswana) 520 000 km2
Spojené státy americké Sonora (USA a Mexiko) 270 000 km2

• v létě řeky ztrácejí vodu a vysychají
• problémy: nedostatek vody v létě, eroze - sedimentace
Vodní hospodářství – specifika suchých subtropů
• Nevyrovnaný srážkový režim – většina dešťů spadne v zimním období, přívalové deště
• Výpar výrazně převyšuje srážky• Eroze – sedimentace• Jakost vody – nerozpuštěné látky, chemie• Tradiční odpadové hospodářství• Společenské specifika

Conclusion
• The granitic core of the island underlies the important positions of calcareous and dolomitic rocks.

Conclusion• Relatively high density of small settlements.• Along the whole wadi artificial datle palms plantation.
Some of them are protected against flooding by stone walls.
• There is relatively dense population of Adenium on the higher parts of the valley (corresponds well with the change in radiometric values of the 432-Landsat composition).
• Profile I: suitable for barrage from both points of view - geology and human activity. Limitations: sufficient material (palm trunks)
