Spine Assets Manager is developed by

Spine Technologies (I) Pvt. Ltd., an I.T. Company based in

Mumbai, India that helps meet this objective of Organization

and also enables it to manage its assets for servicing,

warranties, insurance, vendor, service provider, location and

custodian. It also gives a very flexible and user friendly

system for asset and depreciation accounting keeping in view

the requirements of Companies Act and Indian Income Tax

Act.

Spine Assets Manager gives the power of crystal reports

whereby all the reports can be viewed, printed or exported in

CSV, Excel or many other forms.

Spine Assets Manager is conceived by experts who have

considerable technical as well as functional expertise and is a

result of 24 man months of efforts. Though it covers most of

the needs of users, Spine Assets Manager can be further

customized to meet any additional or specific needs of the

client.

Spine Assets Manager is compatible with, Accounting

Softwares and ERP Softwares and an interface can be provided

to export the data. At present, Spine Assets Manager is

being used by over 550+ User installations across India. The

same is currently being used by ET500 clients, small and

medium enterprises, MNCs, Banks & Corporates.

It is generally agreed that maintaining the data relating to assets, its locations, servicing

and depreciation accounting has become very necessary in view of substantial amount of

funds being employed in the Company’s fixed assets and its maintenance. Increasing

automation makes planning and monitoring of fixed assets for external and internal

accounting purposes even more important. In addition to pure accounting and balance

sheet preparation, there are extensive requirements for controlling and maintenance

monitoring. Furthermore, one must be able to determine easily and precisely the even

more complex requirements of asset and depreciation accounting both at books and tax

levels and also for different periods.

Spine Assets Manager is a fully integrated package developed on 2-tier architecture

using Visual Basic and SQL platform. Further, it is possible to connect any database engine

such as MS-Access, SQL-Server & Oracle. The software needs Pentium and above machines

and is developed for Windows based operating systems with Windows 95 or above clients,

using standard networking techniques.

• Powerful Multi User / User Level Access

Spine Assets Manager is available in single user or as multi user software working with

windows networking technologies like Peer-to-Peer or Win NT (TCP IP) Database can be

accessed by the Local as well as Remote location. The Software also has multi user level

definition whereby any number of users can be created and a user can be restrained from

accessing any information other than super user. The User Level access can also be

restricted at functional level whereby the functional access of different users can be

controlled.

• Import Data

This functionality gives the power to this software, whereby you can import your master

data from your existing system through a CSV or text file. This reduces the time of

implementation of the software.

• Export Data

Reports and master data can be exported to other format like Excel sheet or Word

document or CSV file.

• Multi Company

Spine Assets Manager can be used for more than one company i.e. separate data can be

maintained for your different setup and different location or within the same location.


• Consolidation of data

Spine Assets Manager can be used at different branches & locations and the data can be

consolidated at the head office level so as to view them as a whole as well as Branch

wise/ Location wise.

Spine Assets Manager has a configurable system where no change in the source code is

required to work in any company or industry. It can handle the most complex asset

management requirements, hence no customization required for general

requirement. This means that you have the security of using a "package" which is

Spine Assets Manager has a versatile and powerful multiple and parallel accounting year’s

system, which allows the users to keep different years for tax and accounting &

management purposes.

Asset Acquisition entries can be authorized once they are found proper in every aspect &

hence by doing the same the entire entry gets freeze in the system.

• User Audit Trail

User activity can be monitored through this system & complete user log history can be

generated from the system.

Asset Manager is equipped with highly flexible parameter to codify the asset according to

user’s requirement.

Asset Manager has a very flexible report writer built into it. Besides all the statutory

reports the user can design their own customized reports by selecting any of the fields

within the reports.
