As the people of God, what should our reaction or faith posture be at this time? We should speak-up and make sure that our voice is heard letting others know that we stand with those who seek to make our nation a just place for all people. Secondly, it is critical that we actively vote our conscience in every election to elect people who value diversity and equality for all. Lastly, we have to allow our faith to guide us in our conversations and actions knowing that God desires that love, forgiveness and compassion be at the forefront of all that we do. Greetings members and friends of St. Paul! Our world and our nation continue to be impacted by the Coronavirus. The reopening committee has been working hard on the

proper procedure and necessary approaches to reestablishing

SPLC’s members back in our facility. We’ve decided to break

things down into phases based on necessity for access as well

as the ministries/events needed to be conducted on the

grounds. Also, keeping the congregation informed that we are

on top of the HVAC system and assurance that the filters are

being changed per schedule. At this time, we do not have a

specific date of reopening the church. However, we can tell you that we are working

towards mid to late August or early September as of right now. This time frame is

based on all the details needed as a result of Covid-19, facility cleanliness and the

safety of our members while on the grounds.

Making Our Godly Calling and Election Sure

“Therefore, my brothers and sisters, make every effort to confirm your calling and election. For if you do these things, you will never stumble, and

you will receive a rich welcome into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.” 2nd Peter 1:10-11 NIV

This Wednesday, June 10, 2020 we will embark upon 2nd Peter 1:1-21. The Apostle Peter encourages the people of God to “confirm your calling and election.” In a day and age when people value and are often known by their earthly or manmade titles and labels it is refreshing to know that the Lord assures us that if we pursue our spiritual “calling” and “election” we will not stumble or fall away from Him. Join us as we grow in our understanding of what it means for us to be called and elected by God in 2020.
