To split funding on a requisition, in PeopleSoft this should be done after all line items have been created. Unfortunately, the system does not allow for multiple accounts to be used in the beginning, this is based on the fact that the system is based or driven by line items.

To get started, lets click on the triangle next to the line item.

Once the line is expanded, click on the Chartfields2 tab so we can begin applying the second Chatfield information.

Then you should see a plus (+) and minus (‐) sign, to add an additional Chatfield line, click on the plus (+) for the item you want to modify.

In the second line, the end user will need to manually fill in each applicable chartfield string of the budget to be used for funding. You will need to fill in the Fund, Dept, Function, and Cost Center.

Next we will click the Chartfields 1 tab.

Now we can adjust the Quantity and Percent of what amount will go toward each account. If the line is to be split 50/50 between the two accounts, the quantity and the percent will need to be adjusted.

Correct the quantity to 0.5 for each Chatfield string, and change the percent to 50.00 to represent a 50/50 split. We have now split the payment between two accounts on the requisition. If you have more than two accounts you would like to use to split payment further, only difference is you’ll click the plus (+) sign to create additional windows.
