In response to international customer requests, LMT® Defense has created the most modern ambidextrous M4 ever. Operators the world over have expressed an interest in a weapon system that can be fully manipulated using either hand at any time. This drove LMT Defense to develop identical control functionality on each side of the weapon, not just work-arounds or complicated mechanical leveraging. The result is a truly elegant, intuitive design that takes no time to learn and works every time as intended. Designated as the Modular Ambidextrous Rifle System – Lightweight in both Semi-Auto (L) and Auto (LS). The modular weapon design is available with 14.5”, 16”, 18” and 20” barrel options and can be fitted with the CQB® upper to accommodate a 10.5” barrel. The weapon is fully ambidextrous with LMT Defense designed and manufactured: • Ambi-Safety Selector Switch • Ambi-Magazine Release Button • Ambi-Bolt Catch/Release Paddle • Ambi-Charging Handle The weapon also includes eight QD locations - five on the front rail, one in the end plate of the lower receiver and two on the stock. The weapon is “lightweight” in that it is designed for smaller caliber rifles: 5.56mm, .300 blackout, .204Ruger, 6.8 SPCI.

The weapon truly is state of the art for its ambidextrous features. The weapon has been tested and vetted by both military and law enforcement agencies. This weapon now proudly serves the New Zealand Defence Force. The ambidextrous features allow an operator to perform more operations from either hand including catching the bolt with the right index finger so as not to remove the hand from the grip. The weapon incorporates all of the latest customer design requirements. The monolithic receiver ensures the straightest and strongest rail in the industry. The one piece aluminum forging also allows for the longest barrel extension in the industry which contributes to great weapon accuracy on production scale. The weapon is designed to protect the operator in the event of an obstructed barrel or squib round. The weapon has safety features built in, including a bolt that locks into position preventing it from moving backwards, a mag release designed to break, allowing the magazine to fall out, and a receiver made of a solid aluminum forging preventing the barrel from exploding into the operator. When an obstructed barrel or squib load is fired the weapon contains that pressure with the locked bolt, allowing the magazine to eject and the pressure to be released through the mag well. This keeps all the energy moving away from the operator.

The weapon utilizes the latest machining capabilities to match all necessary naval engagements. The weapon uses the proven SOPMOD stock capable of going 20 meters below water and can be fired within a short amount of time out of water. The weapon exceeds all requirements to drain fluid and allow repeat firing without weapon failure. This allows the weapon to be used in wet environments, as well as when emerging from under water. The weapon uses a new lower forging. The new design includes the bumps for the Ambi-Bolt Catch/Release Paddle, Ambi- Magazine Release Button and Fence Well. The lower forging also includes a flared magazine well that assists the operator in locating the magazine during insertion.

308 STORYThe LMT® Defense Designated Marksman Rifle (DMR) was born of necessity. The LMT Defense 308 was initially designed for the British government for a precision semi-automatic rifle suitable for use in the harshest of battle conditions. The United Kingdom Ministry of Defence required a shorter, more accurate and more effective 7.62x51 platform to adequately protect assets from stationary and moving platforms. This means accuracy on demand, without failure. The LMT Defense monolithic receiver gave the customer the rigid frame to provide superior weapon stability while the free float barrel design delivered the most accurate rifle. That combination provided a weapon four inches shorter than any competitor weapon. The weapon was selected by the United Kingdom Ministry of Defence and type classified as the L129A1. This same weapon is available commercially as the LM308MWS.

LMT Defense also offers a more ergonomic .308. The LM8 slotted frame design allows increased airflow to cool the barrel even during select fire use while also providing a rigid structure to protect the free float barrel and gas tube. In 2015 the MWS platform went on a diet to meet a foreign military weapon requirement. That requirement led to the lightweight .308 barrel. LMT Defense created a proprietary barrel profile that keeps the weapon accurate while lightening the overall weight by .68 lbs. This new barrel is an option for all new MWS and LM8 rifles and, as with any LMT Defense products, the new lightweight barrels can be installed into any existing MWS receiver to gain the benefits of a lightweight weapon with no accuracy degradation.

LMT Defense® has manufactured AR parts since 1980 as Lewis Machine & Tool Company. Karl Lewis began the company with daily trips to the Rock Island Armory for government work order slips, primarily making bolts to fulfill military contracts. Later, Karl moved on to making other parts including triggers, carriers and upper receivers to convert de-militarized weapons into usable commercial weapons. By the mid-1990’s Karl was making all of the individual components of an M4 and realized it was time to put the LMT Defense name on the complete weapon. LMT Defense started with the Standard Patrol Model, or SPM. The military version of the weapon included a 14.5” barrel with standard A2 birdcage and heat shield protected handguards. The select fire version received a dual heat shield protected handguards, thereby allowing it to be more heat resistant during full auto fire. In conjunction with the U.S. Navy we developed the SOPMOD buttstock. It included two QD sling swivel locations, and a rubberized butt pad. Replacing the M4 stock with the LMT Defense SOPMOD, the STD sets the standard for high quality M4 weapons.

In 2004 LMT Defense developed the monolithic upper receiver. Still today, this is the only true monolithic upper receiver on the market. It provides: • Free float barrel which increases weapon accuracy as well as

keeping the barrel straight when the receiver is pushed into an object • Barrel extension that is twice as long as any other M4 barrel extension on the market • The extension is also held into place by three different axis locations thereby ensuring perfect barrel alignment every time it is secured. The extension is held by two screws that use a proprietary clamping system to hold the entire surface of the extension • The barrel has a straight gas tube and pressed-on pinned machine gun grade gas block. This ensures that there is no gas leak within the gas return system, no misalignment due to heat and the heavy barrel profile creates a large heat sink for the best heat resistance in the market. • Upper receiver allows for great airflow which increases the cooling rate of the barrel during extended shooting.

In 2010, the CQBMRP® was slimmed down to give it a smaller profile and more ergonomic receiver. This model, named the LM8RP, is similar to that of the LM8MWS, but with the CQB length receiver designed for 10.5”, 14.5”, 16” and 18” barrels. The gas block is fully retracted on the 10.5” and 14.5” barrels, while the entire gas tube is inside the monolithic receiver on the 16” and 18” barrels.

In 2014, LMT Defense released the rifle length, smooth profile SLK8®. This weapon was designed with the competitive shooter in mind as a Mil-Spec grade competition gun. The longer rail created more length for the shooter to reach with the weapon. It can be outfitted with either a 16” or 20” Stainless Steel 5R Cut Rifled Barrel. This created a uniquely modern M4 weapon that is incredibly accurate at close range and at distance. The SLK8 was outfitted with the LMT Defense Ambi-Safety Selector Switch and SOPMOD stock. In 2016, LMT Defense is releasing the SLKMRP™ upper assembly. This upper assembly features the longer rifle length rail system and monolithic barrel assembly. It can be fitted with all LMT Defense made monolithic barrel assemblies that are 16”, 18” or 20” in length. The user can choose barrel length and caliber in either Chrome Lined or Stainless Steel 5R Cut Rifled barrel.

LMT® Defense has manufactured traditional under-barrel mounted M203’s for many years. However, in 2008, LMT Defense was engaged to create a more modern day M203 designed for weapons with STANAG 1913 Picatinny rail that was not removable from the 6 o’clock position. LMT Defense designed and manufactured a rail mounted receiver that connects to any Mil-Spec STANAG 1913 Picatinny rail section. The weapon utilizes three connecting screws that engage the rail, while using recoil lugs to separate the connecting screws. The weapon was also designed to be used as a standalone weapon system – either shoulder mounted or as a pistol. The modularity of the design lets the user determine the location of the M203 based on the mission requirements. Users no longer need an armorer to remove the receiver from the weapon as three Torx bits are all that hold the weapon on. The LMT Defense M203 has the largest breech opening of any M203 on the market at 5.25”. This eliminates the need for additional breakable parts that require the barrel to rotate in order to insert larger rounds.

The M2 Training Bolt allows an operator to train with more economical, lightweight training rounds that can be used indoors. The bolt is now finished in blue to be easily identified as a training bolt, which eliminates the possibility of loading live rounds (training rounds not included).

Due to the large volume of orders we process, all orders for in-stock product will be shipped in the order received.

• All orders attempt to ship within two business days (business days do not include weekends or holidays).

• All orders are shipped via UPS and will normally arrive between five to seven business days after shipment.

• Some items, because of weight and size, may require additional shipping charges and may take longer to arrive. The shipping rate chart reflects an average.

• Shipments to Alaska and Hawaii are shipped via USPS and shipping rates are slightly higher.

• We attempt to ship orders complete. However, partial shipments are necessary at times.

RETURNS LMT® Defense utilizes a return goods authorization program.

• Please contact LMT Defense within 30 days of receiving product in order to get a Return Goods Authorization (RGA) number.

• You must contact the company via e-mail, fax or phone to get an RGA number, along with return instructions prior to returning the product.

• Product for which RGA numbers have been given should be returned within two weeks from the time

the RGA is given.
