Invitation for Sponsors and Exhibitors to the 33rd
EACD Annual Meeting in Bruges, 26-29 May 2021
On behalf of the Belgian Academy of Childhood Disability, it is our honour and
privilege to organize the 33rd Annual Meeting of the European Academy of
Childhood Disability (EACD) in Bruges from the 26th to 29th of May 2021.
As organizing committee we would like to welcome you in 2021 for a memorable,
historic EACD meeting fully in keeping with its mission, supported by our
longstanding Belgian experience with innovation in childhood disability,
privileged relationship with the European Institutions, and of course the assets of
the city Bruges with its historical, cultural and culinary treasures.
The EACD is an European non-profit organization, and an academic association of
professionals working with children with disability throughout Europe with over
1000 members from more than 70 countries, working in areas including but not
limited to (neuro)pediatrics, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech
therapy, nursing, social-work, and special education. The mission of the EACD is to
promote and support evidence-based education and research in Europe into
childhood disabilities. By organizing an annual scientific meeting, the EACD
provides a networking platform to share knowledge between professionals from
this area. EACD members are provided with access to high-quality research in all
aspects of childhood disability, and showcased the latest technological
developments. The EACD Annual Meetings are international, multidisciplinary 3-
day conferences. and cover a range of topics including but not limited to
medication, rehabilitation, mobility, nutrition, innovations in technology
epidemiology, screening and evaluation tools, best practice protocols, social
inclusion and participation, quality of life, family-centered care and ethical issues.
People with childhood disabilities and their families are living in challenging times.
In an accelerating innovative and often increasingly expensive care, austerity in
inclusion and service widens the gap between the families who can afford the
service and those who cannot. Notwithstanding the fact that communication,
mobility, custom accommodation, and healthcare are basic rights, persevering cost
savings negatively impact daily life and are often a one-way ticket to poverty and
loss of independence in adulthood. Under the meeting theme ‘Composing a new
symphony’, we challenge the increasing unaffordability and policy difficulties.

Lying in the heart of Europe and near the decision centre for European policies,
Bruges 2021 has the ideal location and timing for EACD to conduct the discussion
during workshop sessions with local and European stakeholders to keep health
service for people with childhood disabilities affordable and reimbursed, and
place the challenges on the European agenda.
To make the 33rd EACD Annual Meeting a success for professionals from a wide
range of countries and organizations generous sponsoring is essential. The 33rd
EACD Annual Meeting in Bruges 2021 is welcoming sponsor contributions from
organizations that have a demonstrated interest in promoting new developments
in pediatric rehabilitation and whose values are consistent with the values of the
European Academy of Childhood Disability1.
The 33rd EACD Annual Meeting will be organized at Concertgebouw Brugge. This
first-class venue provides excellent possibilities for sponsors and exhibitors,
located a 10 minute walk away from the Central railway station. Furthermore, the
historic city of Bruges is only a 5 minute walk away and offers an excellent
environment for a social program in a relaxing atmosphere.

EACD Bruges 2021 offers a range of partnership opportunities that will
showcase your products and services to our international congress
delegates. Each sponsor opportunity has a number of benefits, such as: high
visibility, a link to education, engagement with the scientific program and in
blended formats (i.e. print, digital, and face to face). We welcome also offers
for unconditional sponsoring and financial support for parts of the social
program, like the welcome reception and the conference dinner.

Sponsored satellite symposium. Organize a pre-congress satellite symposium at the day
before the start of the EACD Annual Meeting. You will be provided a fully equipped room
for 3 hours.
Workshop. In parallel to scientific program or during lunch break: 60-90 minutes, fully

D MANUALY THE TOTAL CONTRIBUTION of A + B + C = TERMS AND CONDITIONS The Organizing Committee reserves the right to reject an application. An invoice will be issued upon receipt of the booking. Payment should be made within 30 days of the date of the invoice except when another term for payment is specified in the invoice or the sponsor confirmation. Non-receipt of payment may result in release of reserved exhibition space. Offers are limited and will be sold on a first come first serve basis. The services non-included in the selected category will be charged additionally. VAT will be charged additionally when required by local tax authorities. The local law applies to the sponsorship categories and the additional items at the 33rd meeting of the European Academy of Childhood Disability (EACD). CANCELLATION POLICY Cancellations received before 31/10/2020 will be accepted at no costs for the exhibitor. 50% refund of full payment will be provided if cancelled between 31/10/2020 and 28/02/2021. No refund will be provided if cancelled after 28/02/2021 and the amounts not received yet will must be paid. An undersigned bookings form authorizes EACD 2021 to reserve sponsorship categories, sponsorship items and/or exhibition space for use of the in the bookings form signed company or organization. The company or organization agrees to respect the EACD 2021 terms and conditions and cancellation policy. A booking is legally binding.
