Dr. Raed Ayoub held the prestigious appointment as a Dean of Dijlah University, College of Dentistry in Baghdad Iraq. He was a Senior Oral Sur-geon at OMFS Department in Alyarmouk Teaching Hospital in Baghdad, Iraq and was on the committee board of OMFS residency program at that hospital.

Dr. Ayoub graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Science (BDS) in 2003 fromtheUniversityofMosul,Iraq.HehasgainedmanyqualificationsinOral and Maxillofacial Surgery from various residency programs which include: Syrian specialty (SOMFS) in 2008; Arab Board (CABOMFS) in 2009; Royal College of Physician and Surgeons in Glasgow (MOMSRCPSG) in 2010; Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (MFD) in 2011; and Fellowship of Faculty of Dentistry from the Royal College of Surgeon in Ireland in the fieldofOralsurgeryandOralmedicine(FFDOSOM)in2013.Furthermore,he received a subspecialty in laser medicine (HDLaser) in 2015 from Baghdad University in Iraq. Dr. Ayoub did one year of clinical attachment in OMFS at Mercy Hospital in Saint Louise, Missouri.

He has published several research studies and holds the position of ed-itorinchiefofJournalofCosmetologyandOroFacialSurgery.AswellDr.Ayoub is the editor and reviewer for several journals such as Maxillofacial andOralSurgery,JournalofClinicalExperimentalDentistry,InternationalJournalofOralCraniofacialScience,andmanyothers.Heiscurrentlyworking at Eastman Institute for Oral Health, University of Rochester, New York. Dr. Ayoub has been presenting oral surgery lecture series for the AEGD residents of NYU Langon since 2017.

Dr. Yassin is dual trained dentist in both Periodontics and Oral & Maxillo-facial Surgery.

He received his master’s degree in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 2006 and his second master’s degree in Periodontics in 2017 from Universi-ty of Washington in Seattle.

Since his graduation from the Dental School at the University of Aleppo in 2001, Dr. Yassin has been practicing dentistry and oral surgery in private practices, hospitals and academic institutions. Currently he is practicing periodontics and implant dentistry in Seattle, WA.

From serving as a clinical attending in the Oral Surgery Departments at DamascusHospitalsfor5years,tohisrecentpositionasaffiliatefacultyatthe Periodontics Department of the University of Washington, Dr. Yassin actively lectures on esthetics and advanced implant surgery, Periodontics and Oral Surgery at national and international conferences and sympo-siums, in addition to extensive online courses and webinars. He is the course director of the Clinical Implantology Continuum of the Washington Academy of General Dentistry.

Dr. Yassin has several publications and articles in refereed and in peer-reviewed journals, he also serves as a reviewer in many academ-icjournals:JournalofPeriodontology,ClinicaladvancesinPeriodontics,InternationalJournalofOralandMaxillofacialSurgery,JournalofDentalRe-search,andheismemberoftheeditorialboardoftheInternationalJournalof Dentistry and Oral Health. Dr. Yassin has been presenting periodontology lecture series for the AEGD residents of NYU Langon since 2018.

In 2008, she began her career with RTG Dental Labora-tory as an implant specialist, developed a handbook for the business that is in use today “Implants for Dummies.”

She is a leading promoter of soft tissue management, and successfully planned outcomes. Holly recently applied for a patent on a revolutionary technique she invented, “The Secure Hold Abutment.” As a leader at RTG Dental Laboratory, she hired and developed a team of technicians that are cross trained in all aspects of oral anatomy, func-tion, restorative materials and their uses. She has clinically assisted hundreds of clients with her vast experience and knowledge to achieve successful outcomes. She recently developed a campaign to encourage restorative dentists to contract with patients for follow up appointments, especial-ly with complex implant restorations.

Tom began working in the in the dental lab industry in 1979. Tom was instrumental in the development and marketing innovative products, increasing total sales from 1.5 Million to over 9.5 Million annually. Together with his partners, they established the largest and most successful dental lab in Rochester New York, employ-ing over 95 people. Tom is a resource for many re-storative clinicians and consults on implant restorative cases on a regular basis, most recently lecturing on the restorative techniques of the Conus Hybrid Denture.

Dr. Donald M. Tilghman was born on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, and lived in Pocomoke City, Maryland where he at-tended Pocomoke City High School. After graduation, he con-tinued his education at the University of Maryland-College Park, and was then accepted to the University of Maryland School of Dentistry where he graduated in 1961.

Dr. Tilghman entered an internship/residency program at JohnsHopkinsUniversity/Hospitalfrom1961-1963.ltwasatthis time when he was accepted into graduate school to study medicine at the University of Pennsylvania in 1963-1964. After completing his graduate studies, he became Chief Resident in the department of Oral Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Michigan Hospital from 1964-1965.

Following his education, Dr. Tilghman held the following professional positions: Chief of OMS-Cleveland VA Hospital, Cleveland, Ohio; academic Instructor of OMS-U of Case West-ern School of Dentistry/Hospital, Cleveland, Ohio; Associate Professor of OMS-U of Maryland School of Dentistry/Hospital, Baltimore, MD until 1978; Professor of OMS-U. of MD School of Dentistry 1978-1998 as well as holding a joint Associate Profes-sorshipofOMSatJohnsHopkinsUniversity/hospitaluntil2000;ChiefoftheDivisionofDentistryandOMS-JohnsHopkinsUniversity/Hospital; Director of OMS Training Program-U of MD School of DentistryHospital-1987- 1992; Chief Attending-Mary-land Shock Trauma-1975-1998. Dr. Tilghman had an absolute love for and devotion to the fieldofOMS/Implantology.Hisworkethicwasunlikeanythinganyone could emulate. He trained hundreds of Oral Maxillofacial Surgeons during his 50+ years. He worked tirelessly to advance, improve,protectandexpandthefieldsofOMS/Implantology.Hebelievedinnevertryingsomethingfirstinmedicine/dentistrybecause he believed in the gold standard of medicine: “Do No Harm.” Dr. Tilghman was an educated, well read, easy going, caring, giving, generous, kind person. He was a humble man who would do anything for anyone without expecting anything in return. “Dr. T” as many referred to him, loved life in general, especially his grandchildren, as well as the many animals that he rescued and fostered.

Dr. Donald M. Tilghman will be missed by all!
