Swiss Russian Forum Foundation
Organization: Swiss Russian Forum Foundation (SRF); Founded: 2006, Swiss Russian Chamber of Commerce since 2016;

The Swiss Russian Forum is a non-profit organization, which supports the knowledge and knowhow
transfer between Switzerland and the Russian Federation.
The SRF promotes sustainable and ethical economic relations between the two countries.
The SRF has a wide, international range of contacts helping companies to find partners in the Russian
Federation, Switzerland and other countries. In addition, the SRF organizes a number of events for the
development of scientific and technical collaboration between Russia and Europe.
In order to effectively accomplish the tasks, the SRF created platforms that provide the ability to work in
numerous directions. One of the platforms is a scientific and technical platform, on the basis of which
the project Suvorov Prize - Award for the best Swiss-Russian innovative project was created.
2. Project Description
What is the event about?
The Swiss Russian Forum (SRF) has created the Suvorov-Prize as an award for outstanding innovative
projects. Entrepreneurship plays a decisive role in the selection of the Prizewinners as the marketability
of the innovation is viewed essential. The Suvorov-Prize will be bestowed upon Swiss and/or Russian citizens whose projects have a cross-national or international impact as stipulated in the statutory aims of the SRF. The name of the prize honors the Russian General Alexander V. Suvorov who, in 1799, fought against Napoleon’s army in the Gotthard area of central Switzerland. There, a Suvorov monument was erected in memory of the General’s and his Russian soldiers’ brave campaign to assist the Swiss. Suvorov is seen as an early bridge-builder between Switzerland and the Russian Federation. The SRF is responsible for the organization of the Suvorov-Award on an annual basis. Media coverage will generate publicity and additional encouragement for future participation. The Suvorov Prize is organized in cooperation with the Foundation for Assistance to Small and Innovative Enterprises (FASIE) and under the auspices of the Swiss Embassy in Moscow and Canton of Zurich.
Aim and Mission of the Event
The Suvorov Prize is to encourage young researchers and inventors to present creative projects on an
international platform and to support the countries’ economies, improving both the human and
business relations between Switzerland and the Russian Federation.

The Award Ceremony 2019
The Ministry of innovation and investment of city of Moscow highly appreciated the significance of the
Suvorov Prize project and officially invited SRF to conduct the prize-giving ceremony in Technopolis
Moscow.

Programme: Cocktails, welcome and keynote speech, prize-giving ceremony, elegant dinner buffet;
Important: This year SRF forms an official delegation of the Swiss Parliamentarians, ETH

The Venue of the Event
Special economic zone Technopolis Moscow is a key driver of new industrial Moscow. It is dedicated to the development of innovative ecosystem of the city by creating favorable conditions for localization of hi-tech companies. Five sites of special economic zone are the key hubs of Moscow's innovative ecosystem dedicated to localization of hi-tech industries and research facilities of tenant companies. The Technopolis is supervised by the Department of Investment and Industrial Policy of Moscow.

6. Award Ceremony 2018
The 8th Award Ceremony of the Suvorov Prize for the best Swiss-Russian innovative project took place at the Chamber of Commerce of the Russian Federation in Moscow, October 22nd. Among the participants of the ceremony there will be prominent members of the scientific and business communities, opinion leaders, political and social figures, who have made a significant impact on the innovation, economic and international collaboration.

Melfon Surdo Surround: This is a project to improve the listening satisfaction for hearing aid users. A method of assessment of a patient’s personal satisfaction with individually fitted hearing aids using a personalized software setup optimization based on cost/efficiency criteria, wherein the efficiency is determined by audiological comfort and speech intelligibility in a noisy environment;

Nanolab: Molecular designer in virtual reality is an interactive guide for teaching chemistry to students at the professional level. With the help of Nanolab it is possible to teach 100,000 students within 5 years the profession of nanoengineer;

SEFL (Single End Fault Locator) – Unique easily integrated digital automatic system for spotting locations of faults and damages of electric power lines based on T-symmetric functions. Designed to be implemented in electrical grids of various geometry and topology, with overhead, cable or mixed sections. This system significantly decreases the amount of time and resources spent on defining exact locations of faulty sections, and it serves to restore power supply as soon as possible and reduces the risk of accidents in power grids as well as at the facilities powered by them.
