About Derricks and DiamondsOur mission is to unite the oil and gas industry through unique philanthropic events benefiting organizations in the fight against pediatric cancer.
Derricks & Diamonds is a charity softball tournament benefiting Texas Children’s Hospital (TCH) and Snowdrop Foundation. The tournament provides a beacon of hope to all affected by pediatric cancer while uniting the oil and gas industry for a worthy cause.
Over the past 14 years, we have raised over $3.3 million dollars, making it one of the most successful community events benefiting Texas Children’s Cancer Center and the Snowdrop Foundation.
TCH is an internationally recognized, full-care pediatric hospital that supports excellence in patient care, education, and research with a commitment to quality service and cost-effective care. Texas Children’s Cancer Center, the world’s largest cancer and hematology center, is considered by many as the finest in the world, serving patients from 35 states and 26 countries. Its team of hematologists and oncologists led by Dr. Susan Blaney, who is considered by most to be the foremost authority on pediatric cancer, have created many of the standard protocols used for treating and curing all types of cancer from the most common to the extremely rare.
Texas Children’s Charity Care program provides financial assistance to under or uninsured patients so they may receive healthcare services free of charge or at discounted rates. TCH treats every patient regardless of their ability to pay, and approximately 50% or more of the cancer patients treated at the Cancer Center receive support through this program.

Nolan Day is a 6-year-old little charmer! He loves all sports, swimming, playing with friends and his big brother Carson, and all things Paw Patrol. Nolan loves to be surrounded by people, and he loves being the center of attention. His smile can light up a room!
In April of 2014, just shy of his 2nd birthday, Nolan was diagnosed with NHL Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma. His lymph nodes began to grow in size and his nose would bleed a few times a day. After many scans and tests, it was decided to remove and biopsy one of the largest lymph nodes. The results showed the presence of malignant cells, and Nolan was sent to Texas Children’s Hospital (TCH) to begin a 2.5-year treatment plan. Nolan proved to be a true warrior during his treatment. Even on his tough days, his sweet face was still smiling. He did not let cancer destroy who he was.
Today, Nolan is 5 years old and has been off treatment for one year. He loves visiting the hospital because the staff truly gives him the spotlight! Currently, he visits every two months for blood work and a check-up, and also every six months for scans. The love he receives from the doctors, nurses, and staff at TCH has played a huge role in molding his very nurturing and caring personality he has today.

Advertising OpportunitiesDerricks & Diamonds is offering companies and individuals marketing opportunities during the two-day tournament. With hundreds of oil and gas professionals and their families attending, you won’t want to miss out on this incredible advertising opportunity, all while giving back to the cause. Options Include:Field Naming Rights - Option of Four Fields, $5,000 Per FieldMake your organization a focal point for the entire tournament! A 4’x 6’ banner with your organization’s name and/or logo will be hung on the Derricks & Diamond’s field and you’ll receive one-half page advertisement in the Derricks & Diamonds Tournament Program.
Sponsorship of a Spirit Team - $5,000 Per TeamDerricks & Diamonds is inviting eight teams made up exclusively of family and friends of current or former patients of Texas Children’s Hospital to participate in the Softball Tournament. Sponsor the families that are the ultimate beneficiaries of our support.
Sponsoring a Spirit Team covers all of their costs to play and gives your group the opportunity to benefit our beneficiaries directly. Your company will be listed as a Spirit Team Sponsor in the program with a 1/2 page advertisement.
Outfield Signs and Banners - $1,000Take advantage of on-field marketing! A banner with your organization’s name and/or logo will be hung in the outfield. Additionally, your company logo will be in the Tournament Program.

Use of Donations 100% of monetary donations made to Derricks & Diamonds are transferred directly to Texas Children’s Hospital, while proceeds from the tournament’s raffle and silent auction support the Snowdrop Foundation. National Oilwell Varco (NOV) shoulders the tournament’s operating costs so every dollar donated goes directly towards improving the lives and care of children suffering from cancer.
