Q&A

Recent Spanish Cinema In collaboration with

the Spanish Resource Center of the Education

Office of the Spanish Consulate in LA,

organizes a special screening of a Spanish film

for students. The students develop Spanish-

language- related pedagogical tasks to help

them make the most of the film while improving

their Spanish-language skills. During the last

edition the screening of the film “Mummy, I’m a

Zombie”. was a great success, receiving more

than 500 children from elementary schools.

Study Day

The annual press meeting takes place at

the EGEDA US office where the media

has the chance to have one-on–one

interviews with the Spanish guests who

came from Spain

to present their movies.

Press Event

Every edition a panel discussion takes place in

the Spielberg Theater with the filmmakers and

actors attending this year’s Recent Spanish

big support.”

PACO LEÓN–ACTOR/DIRECTOR“I believe there is a big audience who connects with our movies but wouldn’t have the chance to watch many of these films which can’t get distribution in the US if they weren’t screened in Series such as Recent Spanish Cinema”.

CARLOS BARDEMACTOR/WRITER

“Our cinema works very well abroad. It has quality and variety. We bring to Hollywood European movies which tell real stories, stories about real people”

HUGO SILVAACTOR“It’s very touching to be in Los Angeles and to see that there is a group of people here working hard in order to get exposure for the movies that we make in Spain. This is very important, specially nowadays”.
