TASK TO COMPLETE OVER THE SUMMERScenario

The date is 15th March 2020 and a new disease has emerged known as Covid-19. There has been a large media coverage of the disease and the effects which different people have to contracting it. Adam is a 14 year old boy who has a keen interest in skateboarding. Over the last few days, Adam has developed a sore throat and a dry cough. Apart from these symptoms he feels well in himself and wants to go to the park to meet up with his friends. His mother is insisting he stays at home for the next 7 days but he is not happy. As a virologist could you convince Adam on the importance of staying at home?

Explain to Adam what a virus is and how it reproduces.
