Sport Coaching BSc (Hons)
James WallisTracy Killingley
Rationale
•The Sport Coaching BSc (Hons) degree is one of the newest addition to the school’s undergraduate portfolio of courses. The degree is designed as a hybrid of academic and vocational modules providing student s with the necessary theoretical knowledge to become a specialist in the field but also providing enough opportunity to develop critical vocational and inter personal skills associated to successful coaching.
•A second key philosophy to the degree is the amount of choice afforded at levels 5 and 6 which allow students to interpret the role of the coach in a multitude of ways. The outcome is likely to be coaches who are very distinctive in their skills and experiences
