DEPARTMENT: Full – Time/ Part – Time Intern(s) – Marketing / Promotions

WHERE: The Homestead-Miami Speedway (HMS) is one of America’s premier motorsports facilities.

The Speedway hosts two of the world’s largest motorsports events: The Grand Prix of Miami

Grand-AM Rolex Sports Car Series Race and Ford Championship Weekend- the NASCAR

Championships.

DESCRIPTION: Assist the Corporate Partnership Team with extensive activities to include but not limited to

advancing the goals and objectives of the Corporate Partnerships Department in preparation

for Homestead-Miami’s two event weekends. Interns will be integrated and educated about

sponsorships and corporate hospitality and expected to make a contribution in the areas of

business to business relationships, lead generation, business development, sales, proposal

writing, and customer service. Intern will work closely with the Corporate Partnerships Team

to execute programs that are geared toward meeting the goals of Homestead-Miami Speedway

and expanding the knowledge and business skills of the intern.

SKILLS: Marketing, Business Administration, Sports Administration or Sports Management majors

preferred. Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills are required. Graphics skills a plus.

Knowledge of the automotive and motorsports industries a plus. Ideal candidate will be pro-

fessional, timely, organized, detail orientated, dependable, and willing to learn. Bilingual can-

didates a plus.

STARTING DATE

& HOURS: One position available during the Summer (May-August) and one position available during

the Fall semester (September-December). Interns will be required to work some nights and

weekends and must be available during the major events. Gain valuable experience, and re-

ceive college credit.
