The Cowboys finished first of 10 teams attending the track meet win- ning with 156 points. Second was Ulysses 106; third Scott City 66; fourth St. Francis 51; fifth Cheylin 46; sixth Colby 36; seventh Norton 33; eighth Burlington 24; ninth Hoxie 17; and 10th Atwood 11. The Cowgirls finished second with 114 points behind the 122 for Scott City in first place. Cowboys Ryan Hillmer, Robert Cowan and Brock Wilkens were the three from Goodland on the Boys All-Star teams. Hillmer was on the first team, Cowan was on the second team and Wilkens was an honorable mention. Cowgirls Ashley Archer and Jade Herl were the two Cowgirls named on the All-Star team. Archer was named to the first team and Herl was on the second team. Cowgirls Archer and Herl played Sunday in the Northwest Kansas All-Star Classic, sponsored by the Colby Community College basket- ball teams, the Sports Shoppe and Colby Bowl. Archer was leading scorer for the Light Team and was a co-most valuable player with Hannah Mehl of Wichita County. Herl was on the Dark Team and won the 3-point shoot out. The Light Team won 69-52. Cowboys Cowan and Wilkens played on the boys all-star teams on Sunday. On the boys side the Dark Team won 95-89. Cowan was on the Dark Team and Wilkens was on the Light Team. Others on the Boys Great West Activity All-Star Teams included Ron Baker and Brett O’Neil, Scott City; Chris Oliver, Ulysses; Nolan Gaede, Holcomb; (Second Team) Cody Fredrick, Hugoton; Josh Jarnigan, Ulysses; Drew Kite, Scott City; Logan Singhisen, Holcomb; (Honorable Mention) James Pers- inger, Hugoton; Joey Meyer, Scott City; Braden Langston, Ulysses; Kyle Walck, Holcomb; Corbin Ste- phens and Spencer Tubbs, Colby. The Cowboys finished first in the 9-10 track meet held at the Good-land High School track on Monday, and the Cowgirls finished second.

The Cowboys finished first of 10 teams attending the track meet win-ning with 156 points. Second was Ulysses 106; third Scott City 66; fourth St. Francis 51; fifth Cheylin 46; sixth Colby 36; seventh Norton 33; eighth Burlington 24; ninth Hoxie 17; and 10th Atwood 11.
