This is a non-competitive introduction to baseball for boys and girls ages 5-6 as of June 5, 2012. The basics of batting, fielding, catching, throwing, running and safety are stressed in practices and games. Players must bring a baseball glove. Each child will receive a shirt and cap. Game schedules are distributed at the first practice. Parent and player MUST ATTEND Parent-Athlete-Coach (PAC) Meeting at Franciscan Recreation Complex to meet their coach and get a schedule.

Tee Ball games will be

held on Saturdays at Peoria Stadium.

Join this fun, non-competitive league that stresses the fundamentals. At this level, coaches pitch to hitters. All players must play a minimum of 3 innings on defense and play offense throughout the 5-inning game. Old Timers Pony Baseball The Peoria Park District and Old Timers Baseball Association invite all eligible 13 and 14 year olds to play in this league. Practices begin the week of May 7 as determined by each coach. Games are either played on weeknights or Saturday mornings. The league consists of teams from area commu-nities, with an interleague home and away schedule. All players will bat and must play at least half of the game on defense. Major League replica caps and jerseys are provided. White baseball pants are required.

Lacrosse is a fast-paced and exciting game that is surprisingly easy to learn. A Central Illinois Lacrosse League has formed and Peoria Lightning will take part. Practices will be held at Peoria Stadium and games will be in the Central Illinois area with optional travel to larger venues.

There will be a mandatory P-A-C meeting on Thursday, March 29 at 5:30 pm at Franciscan Rec Complex.
