Covering a Match
Communication during the matchese-mail >[email protected]/Skype > [email protected] > +44 77 8620 2835phone > +31 30 6071 757
Infostrada Sports provides access to the match through the national football association of
the home playing country and offers a financial compensation in US dollars.
Infostrada Sports will not cover any further costs for transportation,
communication or accommodation.
With the accreditation provided by the national association of the home playing team, the
correspondent can access the stadium and attend the match. The correspondent will
receive the name and phone number of a local representative to ensure access.
If the national association has not arranged your accreditation on time, you can show the
letter FIFA sent them in April 2011, asking all national football associations for their
cooperation with Infostrada Sports and their reporters. We have the letter available in
English. Of course you can let them check with us if you are hired by us.
A few days before the match The squad information of both national teams involved in
the concerning match need to be provided to [email protected]. Please, provide
this information a few days before the match, when the coaches have announced the
squads.
The line-ups will be provided in the press area in the stadium. Needless to say, the
correspondent has to make sure that good connectivity is available and his mobile phone
is fully charged when attending a match in the Stadium.
Before the kick-off of the match (60 to 30 minutes before) we will call you on your
mobile phone to confirm your presence at the stadium and fill in the line-ups of both
teams.
During the match the correspondent has to deliver the main match data of the match.
You can find an example of a completed match in the 2014 World Cup Qualification group
in Infostradas Sports Society. The example match is the 2006 World Cup final: Italy
versus France.
The correspondent will need to update us about:

FAQ
> How do I get my accreditation for the match?
Infostrada Sports will contact the national football association responsible of the
home playing team (or the association of the country in which the match is being
played). In a letter (downloadable on this website), FIFA has asked all national
associations for their cooperation in this project. With our mail and fax with contact
details of the correspondent, the national association will complete the
accreditation. In some countries the correspondent will have to provide a picture at
their office or through e-mail.
> How do I get into the stadium on the match day?
The correspondent can access the stadium with a press card (accreditation). If
needed, a representative of the national association of the home playing country can
assist. We will provide name and number of the representative before the match
day.
> How do I obtain the squad information a few days before the kick-off?
When you are in contact with the national football association you can ask the press
representative to provide the squad information for you. We will provide name and
number of the representative before the match day.
Also, we think you, as our FIFA correspondent, have access to the best resources in
the country to find the squad information via for example Newspapers or Internet.
> How do I obtain the line-up before the kick-off and all the correct information
during the match?
With the official accreditation, the correspondent will get access to all available
press facilities in the stadium. If needed, a representative of the national association
of the home playing country can assist. We will provide name and number of the
representative before the match day. In most cases, the press facilities include
getting the line-ups of both teams on paper, having a seat with a clear view on the
pitch and getting access to press conferences. During the match please do not
hesitate to ask other reporters or journalists for the information you need.
> I did not receive my payment after covering a match. Why?
When you did not receive your payment, there are three possible reasons:
> We will not pay our correspondents after each match. We will pay them on set
dates.

> If you did not receive your payment on the set date for your confederation, your
payment might be bounced. Please make sure we have all your requested personal
information and make sure SWIFT/BIC and IBAN are correct. You can check your
SWIFT/BIC through the online SWIFT-BIC Portal.
> A severe underperformance from the correspondent. If the correspondent can not
be reached on the match day or sends wrong information constantly, we will not
pay!
