    Term Sheet

    Name of Product: Skim Prihatin Pendidikan 1Malaysia (SPP1M)

    Purpose: Additional financial assistance to deserving students to pursue quality degree qualification in identified disciplines

    and courses [accredited by Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA)] at public higher education institutions and local

    private institutions as listed in SETARA '11 or equivalent and at top universities overseas (top 100 in QS list). This

    additional financial assistance will act as a top up fund to their existing fund or scholarship.

    Eligibility: All Malaysians

    Collateral: No Collateral

    Guarantor: A maximum of 2 personal guarantors

    Financing amount: Actual amount to be guaranteed is equal to Actual Tuition Cost less PTPTN loan and other scholarships / grants /

    loans / savings

    Maximum loan amount for programmes:

    - RM150k for Medicine (Clinical, Aviation Medicine, Dentistry)* and Pharmacy (Post-graduate)

    - RM100k for Business and Law (Finance, Banking, Insurance, Accounting and Taxation, Law and Syariah Law),

    Engineering, Architecture, Science and Computer Science **

    * As per Surat Pekeliling from Ketua Pengarah Kesihatan Bil 15/2012

    ** As specified in the National Education Code

    Rate: For Conventional Loan, interest is to be charged at BLR -1 during study period and during 6 months of grace; and

    BLR +0 during employment period. Interest amount will be capitalised during study period.

    For Islamic Loan, to follow similar terms with BFR

    Loan Tenure: Up to 20.5 years (inclusive of, up to 5 years study period, up to 6 months grace period and up to 15 years

    repayment period)

    Fees chargeable to Borrower As specified by the Financial Institutions. This may include Insurance Premiums, Late Payment Charges,

    Correspondence Charges, Stamp Duty, etc.

    Application / Processing Fee Nil

    Documents Required: - Application Form, which is available at all participating Financial Institutions.

    - Academic results on STPM/Foundation/Matriculation/First Degree OR whichever is applicable (certified true copy)

    - Unconditional Letter of Offer for Admission from Universitity/College

    - PTPTN Loan Offer Letter (for PTPTN borrower)

    - Other relevant documentation to confirm scholarships / grants / loans

    - Proof of funding (for self finance portion)

    - Other relevant documents, as required by Financial Institution

    Application Form details (YPPB's

    requirements)

    - Academic results STPM/Foundation/Matriculation/First Degree OR whichever is applicable (certified true copy)

    - College / University Name

    - Faculty

    - Name of programme

    - Duration of Study

    - Total Tuition Fee

    - Other Funding Details (e.g. PTPTN, scholarships, grants, loans, self-funding)

    Initial allocation granted to each

    participating FI:

    Each Financial Institution is allocated an initial Loan Approval amount of RM250mil. Individual Financial Institution

    may request for further allocation, if required.

    Disbursement: Financial Institutions will withhold the loan disbursement for the semester if the borrowers CGPA is lower than

    2.0/4.0 (or 3.0/5.0). Disbursements will resume when the borrowers' CGPA improves to above 2.0/4.0 (3.0/5.0).
