Best Wishes for a New Year of Learning Opportunities!May the new year bring you bountiful and interesting learning experiences! The goal of Community Education and EDventures is to make lifelong learning available for everyone. There are no tests, no grades, and the learning experiences are informative, life changing and available for busy people in our community.

Travel with EDventures this Spring. The Grand Canyon always tops our travel list. Travel with EDventures to photograph it, raft it, drive to it, and take in the breathtaking views from the Hualapai Skywalk. Overnight at Canyon de Chelly or spend the day at the Rock Art Ranch, steam boating on Canyon Lake or touring the viticulture program on the Verde Valley campus with stops for wine tasting.

It’s not too early to begin dreaming about an island vacation. In November 2012 EDventures International will be traveling to Tahiti and the Marquesas Islands cruising aboard an island freighter. Noelle Elliott will be your tour guide. See the back cover for the details.

We hope you will join us in the Community Education classroom or traveling with EDventures in Spring 2012!

Barbara YarrowCoordinator

Looking AheadBig changes to the program are coming in Fall 2012 as we look for ways to serve you better. As more of us conduct our business, our learning and daily lives via the Internet, we will be changing the way we communicate with you this fall. • Be the first to know what is being offered by connecting to our websites at www.yc.edu/commed

or www.yc.edu/edventures. Online registration is available a month before the printed schedule. We have many classes that fill quickly, and finding them online ensures you get one of the limited spots.

• Tell us how you want to hear about our classes. It is important that you receive information about the Community Education, College for Kids and EDventures programs in the way that works best for you. In this schedule you will find a postage-paid card. Please take a minute to complete and return it.

• Look for emails and online notices of classes and trips. Community Education is concerned about offering affordable classes and doing something good for the environment while cutting out clutter from our lives.

• Want to teach a class for Community Education? Perhaps you have a passion or area of expertise and would like to teach a new class. Contact us at [email protected].
