Crafted of 100% Turkish

cotton, all offer features of

exceptional weaving and hand

twisted fringe. Chaput’s is one

of the few places still producing

goods in a traditional manner.

In the mountains north of the Aegean Sea lies the city of

Denizli. Centuries ago, weaving put the city on the map, but

the wineries and abundance of natural hot springs give it

flavor. It was the perfect place for us to discover Chaput’s, a

small textile factory nestled in these scenic mountains.

Using the art of traditional weaving, Chaput’s creates some of

the world’s finest Hammam towels. Chaput’s designers have

combined their penchant for timeless elegance with modern

demands for sustainability and environmental friendliness.

The result is an array of colorful towels that are thin, yet

highly absorbent – the most absorbent towels in the world.

Nestled in the Arno Valley, on the outskirts of historic

Florence, there is a small factory that is called Bartolini

Home. Prato, Italy has been known for its textiles since the

pre-renaissance era. Think Michaelangelo, Da Vinci, Raphael

– now go back a hundred years or so.

Bartolini Home was started in 2004 by Fabiano Gori.

The Gori family uses traditional methods to create textiles

made of cashmere, silk, lambswool, and fine merino wool

— all the things that say luxury, style, and comfort.

That is Arturo.

Hand-laid stone walls from several centuries ago line the

edges of quiet country roads. The hills are lush, rugged,

and lovely. The scent of lavender lies heavily in the air.

This is the gorgeous countryside outside Flint, at the edge

of the Clywidian Range - an area steeped in Welsh history

and lore.

It is also an area prized for its textile history and the

home of Tweedmill. Established over forty years ago,

the Tweedmill factory prides itself on the integrity of its

woolens and tartans, with the motto “quality is woven into

us” – it would have to be!

There’s a charm and beauty to Ireland that twinkles like the

spring in a leprechaun’s step. A mixture of fun and history,

haunting beauty, rugged terrains, textiles and crystal.

Foxford Mills is located in County Mayo, on the River Moy.

It is one of the last working mills in Ireland and has a unique

and charming history of its own. Foxford was founded in

1892 by an Irish Sister of Charity, Mother Agnes Morrogh-

Bernard, to provide jobs for the locals. Today, Foxford blends

the old with the new, using bolder colors that are inspired

by the Irish light, but with an eye to their signature style.

Lush mohair throws, delightful and stylish scarves, timeless
