CLINICAL VISION REHABILITATION CARE: A CASE BASED APPROACHMark E. Wilkinson, OD Vision rehabilitation is a treatment modality intended to maximize the use of residual vision. It is the only non-surgical treatment available for the majority of people with vision loss. This course will use clinical examples of how to evaluate and manage the visual needs of individuals of all ages with various cases of vision loss.

CODING TIPS FOR EXCEPTIONAL TECHS IN A RETINA PRACTICE Joy Woodke, COE, OCS, OCSRVarious nuances in retina coding can provide challenges for ophthalmic clinical staff. In this course, common misconceptions and pitfalls related to retina coding will be explored. Useful resources and quick reference guides related to the retina will be reviewed to provide current tools for appropriate coding guidelines in the clinic. *Please note that the information in this course is current as of 11/2021.

DECODING MEDICAL TERMINOLOGYBarbara T. Harris, PA, MBA, COT, OSCThis course introduces the concepts upon which medical terminology is based and applies them to ophthalmology. Attendees will practice breaking down words into their component parts to improve their understanding of commonly used medical terms.

This course will challenge the attendees as our expert glaucoma investigators present cases and weigh in with their own opinions. This fast-paced course will showcase glaucoma as you have never seen it before by discussing what you thought you knew about glaucoma and illustrating aspects that you have never before considered. Hold on tight, the glaucoma investigation team is coming in hot.

NEURO-OPHTHALMIC EMERGENCIES NOT TO MISS!Prem Subramanian, MD, PhDThis course will help ophthalmic personnel identify patients who present to the ophthalmic practice with signs and symptoms of a neuro-ophthalmic emergency that may threaten vision, life, or both. Strategies for developing a practice system to ensure these patients are treated quickly and effectively will be presented.

PERTINENT PUPILLARY PROBLEMS Karl Golnik, MD, MEdThis course includes the description of pupil function; reaction to light; causes of small and large pupil; and the definition and demonstration of afferent pupillary defect. The course will define constriction, dilation, hippus, blown pupil, and correctopia.
