There is a signifi cant relationship between deviations in plant spacing and lower yield. Per inch of deviation, more than 2 bushels per acre (bpa) can be lost. In an eight-year study, researchers found spacing inaccuracy of an inch could cause between a 2.2 bpa loss and a 2.5 bpa loss. Source: Purdue University
