FROGS Photography Contest Coinciding with Green Spring's 50th anniversary in 2020, FROGS is thrilled to sponsor the garden's first juried photography contest. Open to non-professional photographers ages 18 and older, up to 75 contest-entry photographs that convey the beauty of Green Spring Gardens will be on public exhibit September through October 2020. August 29: Annual Begonia Show An annual summer highlight, the show and plant sale features a wide variety of begonias, including subtropical species.

September 12: Honey Bee Day Celebrate this wondrous insect with the Northern Virginia Beekeepers Association. Meet a beekeeper, see inside a beehive, do a bee scavenger hunt, and learn why bees are important and how you can help them.

The Garden Gate Plant Shop

Open: Monday-Saturday, 9 am-4 pm Sunday, noon-4 pm, beginning April 11

Visit our plant sales area offering unu-sual, hard-to-find plants nurtured by

Green Spring’s own horticultural staff. The shop specializes in plants that do well in our local growing conditions, as well as plants that are featured in Green

Spring.

Proceeds go to FROGS and help support the gardens. FROGS members receive

10% off plants in the Plant Shop.
