As the parent/guardian of a minor participating in the City of Oakley’s Recreation Programs, Field Trip and Services, I recognize and acknowledge that there are certain risks of physical injury. This Waiver, Release and Indemnity Agreement is intended to discharge in advance the City of Oakley, the Oakley Union School District, the Liberty Union High School District and its officers, employees, volun-teers, and agents from any and all liability arising out of or connected in any way with myself or my child/ward’s participation in said activity, even though that liability may arise out of negligence or carelessness on the part of the persons or entities mentioned above. It is further agreed that this Waiver, Release and Indemnity Agreement is to be binding on my heirs and assignees. Lego camp is the place to be to have fun during spring break where you will see old friends and make new ones! At this weeklong camp you can build with a huge, ex-pertly sorted Lego col-lection. You will win a prize and may even take home a trophy! Mr. Pitter is a Lego expert who will have lots of fun activities for you! Snacks will be provided daily and every camper builds a Lego creation to take home the last day of camp.

Lego Summer Camp is the best place to create fun! Your Lego builder will love the endless tubs with a huge variety of Lego pieces! There will be extreme challenges, contests, and activities to spark the imagination of every builder. Lego trophies and prizes will be awarded to contest winners, and each day will end with Lego raffle prizes! Every camper will take home a Lego creation built at camp and a Shutterfly page will keep parents connected with the excitement. ONLINE DRIVER’S EDUCATIONAge: 15 years old and upLocation: OnlineInstructor: Erika Vieyra

Are you tired of asking your parents and friends for a ride? Are you at least 15 years of age? If so, this class is for you! This is an interactive, online course with videos, animated driving scenarios and sample test questions. Learn the rules of the road, major causes of traffic collisions, DMV procedures, and much more. Receive a DMV-approved Certificate of Completion which is required for teens under 17 ½ years of age in order to obtain a learner’s permit and driver’s license. Students must register at City Hall, 3231 Main Street Oakley. Valid email address required.

URBAN JAZZ DANCE Age: 7-13 years old Location: 1250 O’Hara Ave.Instructor: Jabris Rucker

This dynamic and innovative class of exciting leaps and turns builds confidence while students learn diverse dance styles, including lyrical, modern, and ballet. This class will introduce a variety of music genres such as Jazz, Blues, Pop, Funk, and Rhythm & Blues. Students will develop physical strength, tech-nique, performance quality, personal style, and cre-ativity through movement. Each class will be struc-tured into three parts: warm-up and stretching, technique and dance vocabulary, and choreography. A dance demonstration will be held on June 26.Students are expected to wear all black attire, black jazz shoes or bare fee. No slippers are permitted.

This class will explore the beautiful colors and sounds of India and its famous Bollywood! Partici-pants will learn classic Bollywood footwork, head and eye movements, facial expressions to tell an-cient tales, hip circles, and fun choreography in a theatrical setting! You will learn five classical rhyth-mic patterns and learn to mathematically arrange beats together. Please wear comfortable clothing, bare feet, hair tied back (if necessary) and bring a notebook and writing tool to take notes! Boys and girls are welcome!

BIDDY SPORTSBiddy Sports is like no other program! Children learn the fundamentals of a sport and develop social skills in a fun, safe, family-oriented environ-ment. The class provides a non-competitive in-troduction where children can participate at their own level and ability without keeping score! Each one hour class will include a fun group warm-up, practice, and play a game. Parents get involved by volunteering to coach their child’s team – training is provided and no experience required. Using the SNAG (Starting New At Golf) system, participants learn the fundamentals of putting, chipping, pitching, and driving in addition to the rules, etiquette, and strategy of the game. Our progressive curriculum and modified equipment has simplified instruction so that young players can make an effective transition onto the golf course. All equipment is provided.
