Fitness RoomThe fitness room is open during the building’s hours of operation (see inside front cover) to participants. Ages 14-16 must be accompanied by adult 18 and older. Spectators are not permitted. Proper attire must follow WPRD fitness policy. These policies will be strictly enforced.

Memberships and punch passes
RacquetballThe court can be used for racquetball or wallyball. Court reservations can be made seven calendar days in advance for no more than two hours at a time. The court is open and available for use during the building’s hours of operation (see inside front cover). Reservation recommended.
The gym will be available at the shown times to anyone who would like to drop by the Recreation Center to play some hoops. This is not a league or program. Basketballs are available if needed. Organized practices of any kind are not permitted during Open Gym times. Anyone entering the gym must pay the daily fee or have a punch pass/membership. No Open Gym - 5/4, 5/5, 5/6, 5/23, 6/8, 7/13, 8/10

Winchester Dog Park
Pavilions are available for full day rentals only. A full day is 9am-9pm. Pavilions can be used from April 15-October 15. Reservations are taken year-round.
Disc GolfExperience this inexpensive, family-friendly sport that people of all skill levels and ages can play. The 18-hole disc golf course located in Jim Barnett Park meanders through a portion of Jim Barnett Park and boasts a balance of long challenging holes and short strategic holes. Scorecards are available at the course map located at the first hole or can be downloaded from www. winchesterva.gov/parks. Discs are available for rent at the War Memorial Building. Failure to provide this information can result in membership denial.
Rental RatesRate listed is per hour. Winchester Public Schools facility rentals must meet insurance requirements. Most athletic facility rentals have a two-hour minimum and additional custodial fees may apply. Winchester Parks and Recreation facility rentals under $200 must be paid in full at time of reservation. Rentals $200 and up require a 30% deposit.
*$10 flat fee for lighting and/or $10 (ball field) or $20 (soccer field) fee for field lining if needed.

13Ultimate FrisbeeCombining the non-stop movement and athletic endurance of soccer with the aerial passing skills of football, a game of Ultimate is played by two seven player squads with a high-tech plastic disc on a field similar to football. The object of the game is to score by catching a pass in the opponent’s end zone. Teams of 7 participants’ minimum, 14 participants maximum per team. Option to sign up as an indivudual and get placed on a team is also available.

Swim 101/102 Our beginner course focuses on kicking, floating and breath control. Children must be able to swim 15 feet with their face in the water in orderto pass this class.Swim 201/202 Our intermediate swim course focuses on the formal strokes of freestyle and backstroke. Children must be able to swim 25 feet using the freestyle stroke with side breathing and backstroke in order to pass this class.Swim 301/302 Our advanced stroke course teaches children the more complex strokes of butterfly and breaststroke to swimmers that have mastered freestyle and backstroke. KidzFest! May 19Bring the whole family to Old Town Winchester for a day full of fun and learning at KidzFest featuring over 40 exhibits highlighting education, art, music and sports in addition to a circus performer, reptiles and puppet show. There will be performances throughout the day and free activities and engaging exhibits for children on the Loudoun Street Mall.
