    Background

    Cisco Jabber Video and VCS have the ability to authenticate Jabber Video accounts directly with Active Directory. Prior to this feature

    being available, Jabber Video accounts had to be provisioned via TMS and could not use a centralized password.

    This lab will walk you through the necessary steps to enable Active Directory authentication and integration for VCS & TMS. Additionaly

    FindMe will be configured to facilitate dialing between VCS registered endpoints using SIP URIs and CUCM registered endpoints using

    E.164 numbers. Finally after everything and place video calls using a Jabber Video client.

    Section 1 - Configure TMS for Active Directory ProvisioningStep 1- Open a web browser and navigate to your Telepresence Management Suite instance at: http://tms.collab.com/tms/ and login with

    the following credentials:

    USER PASSWORD

    Administrator Cisco12345

    Step 2- Go to the Systems Provisioning Users menu.

    Step 3- In the User Import section, click on Configure and set the Type to Active Directory (AD).

    Step 4- Use the following fields to complete the Active Directory configuration:

    Hostname: ad.collab.com

    Port: 389

    Username: administrator

    Password: Cisco12345

    Base dn: dc=collab,dc=com

    Relative search dn: cn=users

    Step 5- Press Savewhen completed.

    Step 6- Next we will make changes to the default FindMe settings to include Communications Manager extension information.

    Step 7- Go to the Systems Provisioning FindMemenu.

    Step 8- Click on the Device Templates, and then click Add Device Template:

    Step 9- In the Add Device Template box, use the following settings:

    Display Name: CUCM Phone

    Device Type: Video Endpoint

    Device Address Pattern: {office_phone}@collab.com

    Step 10- Click Save when done.

    Step 11- Click on the Location Templates link on the left hand side of your web browser.

    Step 13- Check the Default Device checkbox for CUCM Phone and click Save.

    Next, we will assign a Configuration template that will be applied when our users are imported from Active Directory.

    Step 15- Click on Configuration Templates in the bottom left hand corner of your TMS screen. This will bring up the Configuration

    Templates window.

    Step 16- Click on the Assign Templates link in the Configuration Templates pane.

    Step 17- Expand the movi folder and click on 4.3. Then press Add Template.

    Step 18- Name your new template Jabber Video and click OK.

    Step 19- Next, click Edit Configurations to modify the default settings used with Jabber Video.

    Step 21- When all entries have been entered press Save.

    Step 22- Next we need to assign the newly created Jabber Video template so they will be applied to each new user as they are imported in

    the system.

    Step 25- Finally, Check the box next to Jabber Video and press Save.

    We are now ready to start the Active Directory import process. To do so, Press the Start Import button as seen in Figure 20.

    Section 2 - Configure VCS for Active Directory authentication

    Step 1- Open a web browser and navigate to your VCS Control at: http://vcs.collab.com and login with the following credentials.

    USER PASSWORD

    admin Cisco12345

    Step 2- Navigate to the VCS Configuration menu, select Authentication, Devices, and then Active Directory Service.

    1. Set "Connect to Active Directory Service" to On.2. Set "Use DNS SRV lookup to obtain Domain Controller" to Yes3. Set "Use DNS SRV lookup to obtain Kerberos Key" to Yes4. Set your administrative username to Administrator5. Set your administrative password to Cisco12345

    Most domain information should already be filled out for you. Please verify that your configuration matches the image below and then cli

    After you click save, you should see the message below indicating an Active connection to the Active Directory server.

    Step 3- Next go to the VCS Configuration menu, select Authentication, then Devices, then Configuration.

    Step 5- Next, Go to the VCS Configuration menu, select Zones
