1) The above product manufacture from by using waste plastic by thermal cracking of the plastic.

2) The said case of the industry was discussed in Industry categorization committee on 15.05.2014 & committee decided to put up the activity in RED category.

3) Thereafter, again the said case of the industry was re-discussed in the industry categorization committee meeting for re-view on 04.08.2014. After due deliberation on CPCB letter in respect of “Conversion of plastics to Fuel Industry ” can be considered under Orange Category, However, it should comply with the General Emission & Effluent Standards notified under Environment (P) Act, 1974. Also, such types of industry should be promoted/encouraged, as they are converting Plastic Waste into useful oils, thus cleaning the environment and helping in the waste management. Besides under Rules 6, of PWM rules, 2011, this type of process can be considered. The committee re-viewed the earlier decision & considered/ decided to put up the case in Orange Category.


RO recommended that pyrolysis activity also involves thermal cracking of the plastic & may covered under orange category as a reprocessing of waste plastic.
