The geological project task was to conduct exploratory geochemical surveys with snow cover (in winter), surface sediments (soils) and surface
waters (in summer) to assess the potential of such types of geochemical survey in Nizhnevartovsk
district of Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area.

Geochemical survey
The geochemical survey may be performed in area, as well as, along the seismic lines.
The geochemical survey along the seismic lines can be executed simultaneously with seismic exploration works with point spacing of geochemical tests along seismic lines, including sampling while blast-hole drilling by the specialists of the seismic department for placing the explosives.
http://www.geochemistry.ru
Advantages:
Such approach to the performing of the works will significantly increase their informative value, and it will allow not only to study the geological structure, but also to obtain the information related to oil-and-gas-bearing capacity of subsoil.
The survey of geochemical samples prior to the seismic exploration works will allow to increase the efficiency of exploration services and determine the local areas for organizing of detailed works and choice of the points of drilling deep wells.Further it will help reducing the costs of exploration
It will considerably shorten the terms of discovery and development of the new field of oil and gas.
