Sriram Engineering College and enlightens the hidden

talents of the students and staff.

This leaflet has recorded achievements such as:

and competitions won by the hugely talented students

and innovative projects carried out by them.

The holistic approach of the institute stimulates

innovation among students by inspiring fresh ideas with

About the College

The college was started in the year 1993 with just

three Under Graduate (UG) programmes, namely, B.E.

Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE), B.E.

Electrical & Electronics (EEE) and B.E. Mechanical

Engineering (MECH). The very first batches of ECE and

MECH produced University Gold Medals. Since then,

the college has made several strides in achieving

excellence in promoting the technical education to the

society in the rural areas of Tamil Nadu. Today the

college has seven UG programmes and four Post

Graduate (PG) programmes in engineering and

technology.

Fresher’s Day is a welcome party to newcomers. The

new academic year brings happiness and joy with the

arrival of the juniors. The 23rd Fresher’s Day was

celebrated on 10 August 2015, giving the new comers a

step towards their graduation from the schooling days.

It’s a subtle effort to make their celebrations big,

nurture their dreams and deliver words of wisdom.

Dr. A. Kalanidhi, Former Vice Chancellor, Anna

University Chennai was invited as the chief Guest. He

delivered the Fresher’s Day message that the students

were insisted to gain not only knowledge but to convert

what they learn to a useful tool for the upliftment of

the down trodden society.
