Characterised by a blend of elegance and traditional 4x4 values the latest Rexton brings things bang up to date. The exterior styling has been enhanced by a new grille, projector headlamps and LED positioning lights which create a totally contemporary look.

The introduction of a new 2.2 litre diesel engine has taken Rexton’s performance to new levels. With 400Nm of torque from just 1400 rpm, the new engine gives great driving flexibility and now features the Mercedes-Benz 7 speed E-Tronic automatic transmission which makes Rexton the ultimate towing and off-road vehicle.

The new range-topping five-seat Rexton ELX adds a number of enhancements to the EX model, including an electric sunroof, front parking sensors, an automatic dipping rear view mirror, heated rear seats and a touch-sensitive satellite navigation unit which features DAB radio.

There is a feeling of desirable luxury on entering the cabin – leather seats are complemented by metal grain trim and a chunky new steering wheel fitted with audio, telephone and cruise controls and there's updated instrumentation to further enhance the interior.

Automatic air conditioning makes controlling your environment straightforward and the in car entertainment unit provides CD, RDS radio, iPod connectivity and connects to your phone via Bluetooth.

The front seats are electrically adjustable and heated, to add comfort for those chilly days. The driver’s seat features a memory function to make adjusting your seat position child’s play.

Seven seats are standard (excluding ELX), with the rear row conveniently folding when extra luggage space is required — to maximise internal space, a five seat option is available.

The selectable 4x4 system provides reassurance whatever the job and whatever the weather. When the going gets really tough you can select low range which splits the torque equally between front and rear axles to provide all round traction and ensure optimum grip across the most challenging terrain.
