SSD+ (SSDplus) updated 2011/08/24 by M.A. Van Hove updated 2011/08/22 by K. Hermann

-------------------------------------------------------------------

This file contains bibliographic references to publications thatinclude structural information about surfaces and (few) nanostructures.

The publications are listed as follows:

1) by ELEMENTAL COMPOSITION e.g. the group of references labeled ----28-6-8--Ni-C-O---- primarily includes Ni surfaces with CO adsorbates, molecular or decomposed (it could also include NiC surfaces with O adsorbates!); each reference is labeled like 28.6.8.2, i.e. reference 2 in the group 28.6.8 = Ni-C-O; an easy way to find relevant references is to search for the element by number or name, e.g. search for -28- or -Ni- for nickel

2) by TECHNIQUE all the above references are also listed by technique, named below; an easy way to find relevant references is to search for the technique name placed between hyphens, e.g. -HEIS- (omitting the hyphens, e.g. searching for HEIS, also finds references grouped by elemental composition)

-------------------------------------------------------------------Source of references:

Most of the references were collected as candidates for the Surface Structure Database (SSD), which was discontinued after 2003: these publications thus are focused on the period 1970-2003;they include publications not selected for inclusion in SSD,due usually to an incomplete structure determination; however these include useful information regarding those structures.

Recent additions are mainly theoretical publications through 2011from select groups.

More publications will be added over time, to be supplied by authorsin the format of this file.
