A Prayer for all MothersA Prayer for all MothersA Prayer for all MothersA Prayer for all Mothers,
Thank you, Lord, that you fill a mother’s heart with love, That you have instilled in her very being the need to protect her children if at all possible, Thank you for giving her the gift of nurturing her children, of teaching them, of comforting them, for feeding them and making a safe place for them.
For guiding them to be all that God has created them to be. Fill every mother with love, wisdom and endur-ance, with strength and patience and joy. Give them ability to forgive again and again. Enable her to rely on You and call upon You, because You will give her all she needs. In Your precious and all powerful name. AmenAmenAmenAmen

“It is Jesus that you seek when you dream of
happiness; He is waiting for you when
nothing else you find satisfies you; He is the
beauty to which you are so attracted; it is He
who provoked you with that thirst for fullness
that will not let you settle for compromise; it is
He who urges you to shed the masks of a false
life; it is He who reads in your hearts your
most genuine choices, the choices that others
try to stifle.”

6 6th Sunday of Easter
6666thththth Sunday of EasterSunday of EasterSunday of EasterSunday of Easter Overused and misunderstood, love has become a synonym for like, enjoy, desire, and want. We love everything from a new restaurant, to a pair of shoes, to people we admire. But to really love means more than just liking someone, or enjoying his or her company. Love means sacrifice and commitment and change. It means we give of ourselves so that someone else will benefit. Love means we act like God acts. How can you tell when two people are in love? A wise woman used to say that you just have to look in their eyes. Since the eyes were the windows to the soul, you could see the soul glowing in joy and hap-piness. It is more than a passing interest, physical attraction or a social friendship. Love changes peo-ple, making them happier, more content and full of hope. How can you tell when someone loves God? A wise man named Jesus used to say that you just have to see what they do. When people love God, they also love others. They show respect, kindness, generosity and compassion. It is a love that seeks the good of all, friend and foe alike. We think and act as God does, giving of ourselves for the sake of others. You will know if that love is genuine because it will change hearts, making others happier, more content and full of faith, hope and love.
