Good afternoon,
Two questions were raised during the March 6th Committee of the Whole Meeting regarding the St.Agatha School Closure Review. 1) Wilmot Projections in the Education Development Charges Study Attached is an excerpt from the Education Development Charges (EDC) Background Study, showingthe projections for the Township of Wilmot. The information that was requested is contained in the table entitled “Review Area: CET6 – Wilmot”on page two of the attachment. The total projected new units for Wilmot in the study is 3,680 whichwill drive an estimated 259 students. This estimated need for accommodation is what will form thebasis for our capital request for a new school when draft plans of subdivision are approved. Ameresco has advised that the number of units projected to be built by year came from theTownship’s Development Charges study. 2) Utilization Rates of Similar School Boards Attached is a spreadsheet showing the utilization rates for Niagara Catholic DSB, Hamilton-Wentworth Catholic DSB, Durham Catholic DSB, and London District Catholic DSB.
