“Welcome Back!” We’ve been waiting a long time to say those words.

As we thoughtfully resume normal operations at Red Willow Place, we have

realized just how much we have missed our members and guests. Having

reduced operations for so long, it almost became normal to have very few

visitors.

Seeing daily activity increasing since July 1st, we couldn’t be happier.

Our Fall classes are an important part of the overall programming offered at Red

Willow Place. It seems redundant to say, but physical activity is crucial to healthy

aging, as is exercising your mind. There are reams of research showing the

benefits of being active - it’s not just a great way to socialize.

St. Albert Seniors Association is pleased to offer a wide variety of programs to

exercise your body and your mind. We hope you find one or two that you love.

Tom Scott Acting Executive Director St. Albert Seniors Association

YOUR LIFE LEGACY CHECKLIST Facilitator: Gina Vliet

Gina describes herself as a bit of a vagabond and a polymath. I love

to travel and explore anything new. Whether it’s new to me or new

to the world, what gets me through is my ability to navigate the

unexpected. I have always loved helping people. I have an extensive

skillset from what seems like a stew of unrelated fields. From

facilitating learning & development in all age groups, to

studying culture through the lenses of anthropology and

organizational change management, to decades in leadership, to

living in various places around the globe, my life experiences have

provided me a unique perspective on what it takes to navigate the

uncomfortable and the unexpected.

Did you know a good end of life plan contains more than a Will and a Funeral Plan? Did you also know that being prepared for aging, illness and injury is just as important as estate planning? In this session we’ll be taking a look at what it takes to be fully prepared for the unexpected and the inevitable. It’s one of the kindest things you can do for those you love.
