In our prayer for those in need of healing, each of us in the Church serves Christ Himself in the suffering members of His Mystical Body. Feast of The Holy Innocents Monday, December 28, 2020
Let us ask the first martyrs of the Church to pray for the strengthening of all families, and for protection of all human life from conception to natural death.
“They not only died for Christ but in his stead.” ~ St. Augustine
Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God
The Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God is this Friday, January 1, and is a Holy Day. A Vigil Mass will be celebrated at 5:15 PM on Thursday, December 31. On Friday, January 1 Mass will be celebrated at 8:000 AM, 12:00 PM, and 5:15 PM.
Thank You!
"It is Christmas every time you let God love others through you." ~ St. Teresa of Calcutta
The Parish Outreach Office would like to thank all those who so generously donated to our Christmas Food Drive, making the holiday a happy event for those in need. Let me express the gratitude of the parish to our many volunteers, especially those from the St. Vincent de Paul Society.
At this time, it is important to recognize the cooks who supply casseroles each month to St. John's Hospice. It is because of their constant dedication to these men that we are able to feed the homeless each month. May their goodness and devotion to the less fortunate be rewarded.
The Nocturnal Adoration Society will not meet this Thursday, December 31.
Please join us again on Thursday, February 4 at 7:30 PM for the recitation of the Office of the
Blessed Sacrament and the Rosary.
St. Vincent de Paul Society
Today is the feast of the Holy Family of Jesus, Mary, and Joseph. During our New Year, may our families “grow in wisdom
and have the favor of God upon them.”
This month, through your gifts, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul brought the love and care of Jesus to the poor by assisting individuals and families in our community. Thank you for your steadfast generosity to those in need.

Give the Gift of Prayer - Announced and Unannounced Masses
Available for 2021
Are you struggling with a problem, a relationship, or experiencing regret about not saying all that needed to be said to someone before they died? Do you find yourself thinking about someone, either alive or deceased, and feel as if you need to do something? Maybe you are being prompted to pray for them or yourself. Offering a Mass binds our intention with the Sacrifice of Christ and the prayers of the whole Church. In this way, we unite ourselves and our intention to the prayer of Christ’s loving sacrifice to the Father for the salvation of the whole world. The Catechism of the Catholic Church teaches: “From the beginning, the Church has honored the memory of the dead and offered prayers in suffrage for them — above all the Eucharistic sacrifice — so that, thus purified, they may attain the beatific vision of God. The Church also commends almsgiving, indulgences and works of penance undertaken on behalf of the dead.” (#1032) If we can pray for those who have gone before us in such a profound way, so can we pray for those who are still alive. If privacy is a concern, your intention could read ‘For a Special Intention,’ ‘For the Intention of the Donor,’ ‘In Thanksgiving,’ or something similar.
