This week we have been listening to Jupiter from The Planets (by Holst) to tie in with KS1’s Space theme https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gu77Vtja30c On Wednesday Mrs Sorrentino, our new violin teacher, gave two pupils a trial lesson. She will perform in next week’s singing assembly (22nd Jan) and immediately after she will take anybody interested in learning the violin to have a trial session. Let me know if your child is interested [email protected]. She will also take anyone who is inspired on the day. On Fri 24 Jan we will have an extra special Celebration Assembly. The theme will be Music and Clayesmore’s Pipe Band are coming to play for us. The assembly will also have a couple of our instrumentalists playing and one of our songs will be accompanied by 2 of our Y6 recorder players. Parents, be prepared for an unusual end to the day – your children will be piped out of school. Order the haggis.
