PRAYER TIME is listed two times a day on the calendar above. One of the times is 7 pm in hopes that your entire family will sit down
together for a time of prayer. If you are alone in your home, call a friend and pray with them. Then, Monday - Saturday you will notice
the prayer time is listed at 9 am. Take time to lift up a prayer! Start reading a chapter in the Bible, begin going through your church
directory praying for one another, or even try journaling - possibly a “Thanks” journal. Stay close to God and one another through
prayer!

Distancing?
None of us would have ever
predicted that Sunday
would have to be so
“distant”. Thank goodness
that God does not distant himself from us. He’s like the
wind...we can’t see him, but we can feel him. He’s ever so
close and without a mask! Be thankful that the lover of
our souls is closer to us than ever before.

PASTOR SEARCH NEWS
St. Andrew’s Pastor Search profile and video have gone "LIVE". Our search consultant, Vanderbloemen, has placed the St. Andrew’s pastor position on its website for prospective pastor candidates to review. Vanderbloemen is also culling its database of contacts to identify possible candidates. Continued prayers from St. Andrew’s members are needed as the search continues.

The church is open from 9am - 2pm, Monday thru Thursday. HOWEVER, there may be days where circumstances beyond our control occur which would lead to the office being closed. Unless you have a church key, please call the office, Julie or Melissa to see if someone is there should you need to go.

CHRISTIAN EDUCATION
Christian Education We will let you know as soon as classes are able to get back together.
Adult Classes:
Grace & Men’s meets in the Study, in office area.
Bible Discovery meets in the Library upstairs, above the office area.
Fellowship meets in a classroom upstairs, above the office area.
Women of Grace meets in the Conference Room, in office area.
Children & Youth Classes:
Pre-K through 4th
Grades meet in the Journey Rooms.
5th
& 6th
Grades meet in the Witherspoon Room.
Youth/Confirmation Class meets in the Youth Room.
And Bible Studies, too:
Monday Morning (10 AM) meets in the Parlor.
Tuesday Morning Men (7 AM) meets in the Parlor.

Every woman sitting in the pew has a story to share of God’s faithfulness in her life, and women love nothing more than to hear a good story and to delight in the sisterhood of believers. This 12-session Bible study for women goes and tells what God has done in the lives of real women in the church today.
Please contact Charlotte Schwarzlose at 409-782-5896 if you would like to connect with us in this study.
We have a team that has begun working on updating the church directory. Please
know that someone from this team will be contacting you to update your information
and picture (if they haven’t already done so). We are wanting to get this done for our
new Pastor upon their arrival. Contact Tammy Markum (409-543-4996) with any

CHURCH DIRECTORY
If you were not here for worship on July 5th
, you may be wondering how we handled communion during the Covid 19 era. For those who are considering coming the first weekend of August (August 2), we thought it might be helpful to describe the process to help you discern how you feel about the safety for your needs.
Communion is served from 3 rolling carts, each manned by 2 masked and gloved servers. The carts are “parked” in the back of the sanctuary. When indicated, the servers leave their
seats, get a cart and proceed forward. On the cart are pre-filled juice cups, pieces of bread, and plates. The server will put the juice cup or cups on the plate and using tongs, place the right amount of bread on the plate. The server will give out the plate or hold it as needed. The recipient may leave the plate and cup on the pew seat and in cup holders or just hand them back to the server who places it on the bottom tray of cart (Note: Gluten free bread is available from each cart).
The 3 carts are rolled down the two side aisles of the Nave and the center aisle. The carts and servers from the side aisles will proceed to the Nursery side and the Gladys St. side of the sanctuary to complete the serving.

BIRTHDAYS
This past week has been a very unique one. I don’t remember a week like this in a very long time. So many people have called and asked me to put someone they know on the prayer list. Many have shared situations that are close to them that have brought them much sadness ... more for someone else than for themselves. There truly is a
sadness going around. Do you feel it? I don’t want to list the things that are causing tears and pain for us and for those who are close to us. Instead, I want to imagine where God would send us when we are feeling …
DEPRESSED
Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. Philippians 4:8
I waited patiently for the LORD; he turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the limy pit, out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand. He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see and fear the LORD and put their trust in him. Psalm 40:1-3
FEARFUL
Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will up-hold you with my righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10
The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Deuteronomy 31:8
HEAVY BURDENED
“Come to me, all you that are weary and are carrying heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me; for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30

HELPLESS
The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles. Psalm 34:17
Seek the LORD and his strength; seek his presence continually! 1 Chronicles 16:11
HOPELESS
Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God; for I shall yet praise Him, The help of my countenance and my God Psalm 42:11
“But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest on me.” 2 Corinthians 12:9
UNCERTAIN
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7
When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you. Isaiah 43:2
Dear Friends this all boils down to spending time with God the Father, God the Son,
and God the Holy Spirit in Praise and Prayer.
