Spotlight on Stewardship

June 12, 2016 Stewardship Reflection

“When I entered your house, you did not give me

water for my feet…” (Luke 7:44)

Today’s Gospel calls us to consider how we serve

God. Do we consume like the Pharisee who simply

reclines at the table and expects to be served? Or, do

we contribute like the woman who kneels before

Jesus and washes His feet? Every day we must make

a choice. Take or give? Consume or contribute?

Recline or serve?

Ministry Spotlight Thyme & Talent

Are you a natural hostess or just love to entertain?

Consider joining the Thyme & Talent Ministry! This

group prepares and/or serves meals or refreshments

for small parish functions. Volunteers can set-up and

decorate for functions, prepare and serve the meal,

and/or clean up after the function. Members work

together in teams. The time commitment is usually a

few hours a month, depending on the church‘s

calendar. Cooking experience is an asset, but not

necessary. To lean more, please email Donna

Tomayko: [email protected].

Dear Teens: Have a Fun, Happy, Holy Summer

Don’t let these precious, sun-filled days fly by in such a way

that you look back and realize you’re the same person you

were before summer started. Here are six challenges to

have a fun, happy, holy summer (stay tuned for more):

1. Spend more time out of your bed than in your bed.

2. Pray—have daily conversations with Jesus.

3. Learn how to do your own laundry...and then do it!

4. Be thankful. Write down three things you’re grateful for

each day.

5. Clean out your closets. Donate gently-used clothing to

St. Anne Community Outreach.

6. Go to Confession. The Sacrament of Reconciliation is

offered every Saturday from 4 to 5 p.m. at St. Anne

Catholic Church.

Vocations Summer Camp

The Diocese of Savannah’s Call to Holiness summer camp

for girls (June 26-29) and Vocatio Dei (June 29-July 2)

summer camp for boys provide a great opportunity to learn

more about listening to God and seeking His will in your

daily life. Rising 7th-12th graders are invited to participate.

Learn more and register online:

diosav.org/vocations-summercamp.
