Corpus Christi Eucharistic Procession Sunday, June 23, 2019, 3:00 PM
Location: Our Lady of Sorrows Retreat Center, 420 N. Main St., St. Martinville Please join us for a Solemn Eucharistic Procession on the Feast of Corpus Christi sponsored by the Community of Jesus Crucified. The public is invited to join us as we process with the Blessed Sacrament from Mater Dolorosa Chapel at Our Lady of Sorrows Retreat Center, to St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church for a time of Adoration and Benediction, and then process back. It will take place on Sunday, June 23, 2019, at 3 pm.

July 08, 11, 22, 25 Directed Retreat
Jesuit Spirituality Center, Grand Coteau The Jesuit Spirituality Center specializes in offer-ing personally directed retreats based on the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius Loyola. Those who begin their retreat on July 08 or 22 may choose from an 8-day, 5-day, or 3-day option. Those who begin on July 11 or 25 may choose either a 5-day or a 3-day option. Addi-tional information regarding registration and pricing may be requested by contacting the center at 337.662.5251 or 337.662.5252 (ext. 1).
St. John Francis Regis Catholic Church in Ar-naudville will host the annual Memorial Mass for Auguste “Nonco” Pelafigue at 10:30 am on
Sunday, June 30, 2019. In honor of Nonco’s native roots, the Mass will be celebrated in French by Bishop J. Douglas Deshotel. Father Travis Abadie, pastor of St. John Francis Regis and Father Gary Schexnayder, retired priest and native of Arnaudville will concelebrate. Dea-con Kenneth Arnaud will assist. The Mass will honor the 45th Anniversary of Nonco's death and his devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
All are invited to attend. Prayer cards will be distributed, and immediately following the Mass there will be a spe-cial procession from the church to a reception in the Lit-tle Flower Auditorium, the same location where Nonco held his annual Sacred Heart Plays.
In addition to the Mass in Arnaudville, several other Masses will be celebrated worldwide in Nonco’s memory on June 30. Here in Louisiana, all 18 Sacred Heart church parishes throughout the state, including the five located within the Diocese of Lafayette (Baldwin, Broussard, New Iberia, Port Barre, and Ville Platte), will participate.

votives are 50¢. When lighting candles please use the envelopes provided.
Envelopes may be placed in the collection basket or dropped off at the Parish Office.
For Catholics, the Sacrament of Baptism is the first step in a lifelong journey of
commitment and discipleship.
There is a baptismal preparation class scheduled for Wednesday, July 10, 2019 at 7:00 PM in the parish hall. Parents and godparents are required to attend a baptismal class before baptizing a baby. A packet with all requirements should be picked up at the Parish Office and filled out before attending the
class. Baptisms will be sched-uled once all requirements have been met. Please note that bap-tismal classes are held only eve-ry other month. Please call the Parish Office to register for the upcoming class.

Over 500 children and young people, will soon sign up to learn more about Jesus and the Catholic faith. You can help them learn and grow by becoming a CATECHIST or Support Volunteer.
As we nurture the faith of our young, we learn and grow as well! We provide training, materials, and support.

St. Thomas More summer camp schedule is designed to meet the summer needs of most families with sessions beginning in May and running through August. No camps are offered the first week of July. Several camps have multiple sessions, with a few offering half day or full day options.
